Nightfeeds Chat Thread

Huhh hoping LM doesnt wake to ight, so tired and got one hell of a run of long shifts starting this week :( she slept in till 8am or so this morning so I have everything crossed she does it again! X

Wow Sophie that's great you must be really proud.
Bex, I dreaded the night time for the first 3-4 weeks. I'd be crying at 5pm as I knew we were in for hours of screaming, pain & sleeplessness. But it gets better. Or you just get more used to it!
LO has Been fighting sleep all ,afternoon. We just had a bath and 3 feeds in a row. The last one was only 15 min and she took herself off, whoop!
She's now in her basket but I'm not leaving her as I'm sure she's going to wake any second!

Xx

U still by her side spin?

Just off to bed! Goodnight xx

And so it begins... Did a feed in bed, she took herself as always and was fast asleep...I. got excited... Put her in her basket. 5 mins later awake, another 5 mins of fidgeting and I hear ack ack ack, her feed me noise. ^sighs^
Could be another long night... Although at least she slept 2.20-6am yesterday.

Hubby goes back to work tomorrow :-( no lie in for me.

I'm up as well. Asleep for an hour and a half and then *boom* she fills her nappy and now wants grub! Hopefully won't take as long as last night to settle her back down. Good luck bex!

Hello 4 month sleep regression! So depressing :( hope you ladies are all well with little babas xx

Hi ladies! Not posted in this before but I feel like I belong here tonight.
We've been up since 10 and only just got back down again thanks to calpol, calgel and Waybuloo. I hate teething, I really do!
I hope you're all having fab nights and the babies surprise you by sleeping very well tonight.
Xxx

So my second time awake tonight- Toby has decided a gap of an hour between feeds is plenty- my stock of choccy digestives is going to go down very quickly! An sleepy tonight :(

Hubby forced me out and we left her to self settle. Took an hour but she didn't cry, just grunted lots!
She's still asleep, but its a noisy fidgety sleep. Thing is, she woke me at half 1, and I can't sleep as I jeep thinking she will wake up. She's gone 6h! But I haven't! Makes me seriously consider putting her in her own room!
Am going to get her up now for a feed. I know she wants one and I'm awake anyway!

Xx

Oh no spin that's the worst when u try and get to sleep and just can't! Lots of people with all night grunters put them in their own room early so maybe you're right? Thankfully m doesn't make too much noise. I'm such a light sleeper it would be torture if we did as he can't have his own room till we move!

Up for first time since at 9pm which is fab! Although obviously I didnt go to sleep at 9 once I'd finshed pottering about getting things ready for the week etc. xxx

Still up... Just about to move him and he wakes back up and gets back on the boob! Ahhh!! Dreading school run in the morning...! Are all u others having lots of lovely sleep? I'm jealous! Xxx

She slept for a couple of hours from Midnight then I fed half sitting up for 2 hours on and off and dozed. Then put her back in basket. Immediately filled nappy and now back feeding! Nor sure the dozing was great sleep but better than feeling ill trying to stay awake. Keep getting strange pains in my stomach too, Damn c section!
Hubby woke up when I changed her as she cries but he's back to sleep now. Lucky toad.

Tried to settle her again and left her making noises but she didn't sleep so up again feeding. :-/

Been up all night :-( I'm ill and baby is too. I need sleep. Hubby managed to snore his way through it all until now as I'm tired and pissed off!

Feeling very sorry for myself.

Dreading today with poorly baby and toddler and me being ill too :-(

Oh dear. Doesn't sound like anyone had a particularly good night. It took forever to get E to sleep. In the end I had to go out in the rain & push her round.
She went until 4:30, which was amazing but then woke crying at 6 with tummy troubles & has been awake ever since but still hasn't had a poo.

Oh paddles that sounds shite!! I hope your day is better than you think.

Well Hannah and I are cuddling in bed as hubby just went to work. I'm trying really hard not to cry :'( feels like we had hardly any time as only got back from hospital late last Tuesday :'(

X

Umbungo, I remember feeling the exact way you're feeling as my hubby had to go back to work the day after we were discharged. I spent that day not moving from the living room other than for food and water.
I know it won't make you feel better but it gets soooo much easier and soon hubby becomes a loveable hindrance to yours and lo's natural routine. Also if you feel like crying - go for it! It used to make me feel loads better!
Xxx
