...Iv got my scan on wednesday and i was wondering... if you have a scan at the hospital can you always buy the pictures? and how much will they cost? Im scared that they wont let me have a copy of the scan pic!

the ones are my hossie are 2 for £1.50 but you could only have a max of 4

Blimey! I thought theyd be £15-£20 each! my mums pestering for a scan pic and we thought it would be nice for DH's family to have one too. Just hope everything goes ok now, although im feeling quite positive. Just keep worrying about everything

My hospital gave us three pictures, all free of charge. I seem to remember reading on here a few weeks back though that someone didn't get any because the hospital's printer wasn't working I think this is quite unusual though.

Enjoy your scan - and make sure your bladder is nice and full. I had a VERY uncomfortable walk to the hospital when I had mine, but it was all worth it to get such clear pics. It's THE most amazing experience!

My hospital asked for a "donation" of £2 for anything from 2-6 pictures depending on the MW doing the scan. If your relatives want copies the best thing to do is scan the pics and get your own additional copies.

ours are £2 each at our hospital, the idea is you go in, have your scan and get the pics then come out at put your £2 or whatever in a box on the wall.... not many people actually pay though.... us included

With ours you can say how many you want after the scan. Then on the way out you have to put 3 pounds per scan pic you ask for into a ticket machine then hand it in at reception when they call your number. Good luck for your scan hun!

Mine cost £4 for about 6 small photos........you cant ask for duplicates though as far as I know, at my hospital they are printed off in a row, depending on the view they can get which depending on the position of the baby can be quite clear or just like like a large coffee bean My 12 week scan photos were dreadful as my little man likes to really test the skills of the sonographer!!

Mine are £3 each apparently and 'make sure you bring the correct money as change can not be given' Oh dear!
