Newborn sleeping patterns...

Ok I'm probably just being paranoid but, my little man is 9 days old and he sleeps well during the night most nights but during the day he doesn't seem to sleep. Hell feed then fall asleep while I'm winding him but then after ten minutes he's awake again. He doesn't cry or anything when he wakes back up he seems pretty content but I was just wondering if it is anything to worry about or will he just sleep when he needs to? The poor lad looks shattered!x

i guess they just sleep when they need to? if he is tired then i guess if its quiet and dark enough he will sleep. im gonna be a paranoid nightmare when my little one arrives lol x

I was worried cause I've never seen a newborn be awake for so long without crying! I thought there was something wrong with him.
Ah Lex I really didn't think I'd worry that much but everything he does has me panicking! Its like I've forgotten what babys do lol x x

have you tried putting him down for a nap or just let him get on with it? you might find a dark room will make him sleep. xx
