Newborn help

Can anyone give me any suggestions on what could be wrong. My boy is been totally restless all day today he usually sleep a full 4 hours but he has been constantly moving and really restless. I have checked his tempature and its fine his nose a bit sniffily and little cheeks and face is quite reddish. I took him out for the first time today and wasnt sure wheter it was to cold for him although i had him wrapped up really well.?

Hey hun, i'm not sure how old he is but it could just be a windy tummy or tummy ache, my lo can be restless when she has this usually in evening. If hes no better and your worried perhaps you could see hv or doc if he seems poorly x

That's what I was gonna suggest windy - have you true infacol and massaging his tummy and bringing his knees upto his tummy and down again - it really helped my babies xx

no i havent tryed that im still getting used to things. Its just im worried because when i gave him a bottle he used 2 sleep for a full 4 hours now he is really restless and wont settle down for me. I picked him up during the night to change his nappy and he was sweating. The midwife is due out soon so I will check with her. x

How old is he? could be colic. morgan used to sleep well then suddenly the colic stared, often its worse after feeds until you get that burp up, which can take a while!

3 days old i dont think its colic as i googled the symptoms then last night my oh fed him then i got up to feed him and change him and he let out a big burp so maybe thats what was wrong. I last fed him at about 8.30 am and he is still sleeping i think he is catching up on all the sleep he missed out on last night

ah well they do sleep a lot in the first few days, but dont normaly sleep that much so maybe youre noticing this change? also are you breast or bottle feeding? you could try to offer more?

Hope lo has been more settled today, i didn't realise he was so young, they change so much and are getting used to their new surroundings, maybe he'll settle over the next few days. id you speak to mw?

well i spoke to the midwife she says he seemed perfectly healthy nothing to worry about. I told her i had put the heating on later that night before keyan went to sleep so she says it was prob because he was to hot. Thank god

Heat can be a tricky one - my o woke up at 4am last night after sleep 11 - 12 hours before and i realised i had left window open next to cot and she was cold! Sounds like your doing fab job x

yeah it is im getting there though im starting to get used of it now
