newbie and late

Hi all

jus to introduce myself and to see if there is anyone n the same situation.

af is 10 days late, and i have signs n symptoms, i feel like i did when i had my ds

HOWEVER i also have bfn. my hpt came back -ve in devastated.

my gp has told me to wiat til next monday to resubmit - then take it from there

has this happened to anyone else? am i or arent i?

Hello, welcome to the forums!

There are lots of women who don't get positive tests til a bit later on - my sister for example, didn't get her positive til she was 9 weeks pregnant!

Hope you're ok hun, I would agree with your GP though, wait a while and re-test. Could they not give you a blood test though as that would give you a definite answer.

missjuly - i have heard of tests not working til several weeks in, but never known anyone that it has happened to. i hope that is the case for me. did your sis still get symptoms? gp said she will also examin me at next apt so she may do bloods then, but she said there is no point before 6 weeks

No AF is a good sign hun.

Yep, my sister said she knew she was pregnant cos she just felt different so did a test every week til she finally got her positive.

How much longer do you have to wait til you go back to the doc? Must be so frustrating, really feel for you. x x

dr charted that i will be 6 weeks on the 29th, with that falling on sunday, she has asked me to resubmit urine test monday, to see her again tuesday.....so long as af doesnt rear her ugly head. its sooooo hard waking up each morning panicking that ive come on during the night, wondering if it will happen during the day. i just want an answer

signs and symptoms are coming and going.....in line with ds as i remember.

time and tests will tell i suppose, ive never known time to drag so much as it is at the moment - i have to keep inventing reasons for things. all the girls in the office have joined the gym im at....and they want to know why im no longer going :s darent risk anything incase i am

Ah, these next few days are going to feel like such a drag eh? You've got us girlies to keep you busy, don't worry lol. I DEFO feel your pain there hun, cos I worry about AF catching up with me as well I try and be very careful in everything I do - won't even allow my dogs to lay on my lap anymore. It's understandable hun and you're not alone, we all have the same worries and concerns really.

I suppose it's a good thing that the signs are similar to your previous pregnancy, I really hope your BFP is just very shy! x x
