What kind of family traditions for Christmas would you like to start this year?

We're going to buy a special decoration for both sets of grandparents from bub and we'll buy them one every year.

xxxxxx

I want to start doing Xmas PJs so we all get a nice new set to snuggle up in! Although this year could be a weird one cos we probs won't have the girls! So I think our new tradition will be Xmas on another day haha! I started a new one last year where Santa goes up the stairs to check they're asleep and leaves a glittery trail...wish I hadn't started that one tbh, took me forever to clear up!

I won't be starting any new traditions this year as we stick to the same traditions every year since our 9 year old was born, adjusted it slightly when our 6 year old was born but we will defiantly have to change were the presents go next year when baby bump has arrived as there is literally NO more room in the living room for another pile of presents ad I can not reduce the amount they get lol

Well I suppose from now on each Christmas day we'll be alternating between grandparents homes. So it's OH's parents this year and then next Christmas my parents. That means Christmas eve will be mine and OH's night to watch xmas movies and have festive food/drink at home with the babies :) exciting!
Also this year I've decided to start making Christmas cakes for mine and OH's parents so if that works out I'll do that each year.

This is my babies 1st Christmas. So we have decided we will watch muppet Christmas carol in our jammies cosy on the couch on Xmas eve and we will do this every year.x

We do the new pj's for Christmas Eve, mum has done since we were small (right up to last year she got me new jammys!) so will carry that on. I'd like to make Christmas Eve more festive though for Santa. We have a nice day/evening but its not Christmassy enough for children :)

I would love to take the kids to see a christmas movie on Xmas Eve but our little one is still too young and next year will be out of the questions because we will have a 8 month old lol.

We always do Xmas PJ's and the kids love choosing them and they always get so excited about getting changed into them on Xmas Eve, even my 4 yr old.

This year we are making our own advent calendar as my eldest is lactose intolerant so can't have the chocolate ones.

My mum still gets us pjs for Christmas and wouldn't be Christmas if she didn't. Lol I want to start that with LO but think this year it'll b a sleeping bag as opposed to actual pjs as he'll only be 6 months and still wearing sleep suits. Need to think of something for Christmas Eve. Normally DH works at his door job but hoping this year he won't as even tho wee one will still be too young to understand Santa still has to come so I want something really Christmassy ;-)

I got Harry a santa themed sleepsuit for his Xmas pj's. It was soo cute. xx

I love the Christmas PJ's thing! I think I want to start that :-D

We always used to have new clothes for Christmas day, does anyone else do that? It's something I'd like to start doing again, if money permits.

I'd like to get new outfit for Christmas this year. Hope to have lost some more of baby weight by then so would like something in smaller size :-)

i like the idea of muppets christmas carol on christmas eve :)

this year we will be down at my in laws in bristol....next year will be better for me cos we will be in our own home and my parents will be around for it all too...xx

I was only speaking to OH about this earlier, i am going to put together a surprise box that they can open on xmas eve!

it will contain...

New pj's
Slippers
Christmas movie
Popcorn/Hot Chocolate/Marshmallows
Christmas book

I saw this on pinterest, looks fab!

We always have new clothes for AJ for xmas day.

Last year was the first year Eddie Elf came to stay on Dec 1st. He left on xmas eve after a fun filled December. He left when AJ was in the bath, leaving a little gift, which was his new pj's.

We always put the tree up on 1st Dec and AJ helps decorate and we always buy a new tree decoration for AJ too, which gets dated and put on the tree.

On xmas eve we follow santa's journey delivering presents to all the children on the computer.

Hmm, cant think of anything else....
