was speaking to MIL on the phone the other day and she made a girls name suggestion.

we did have lucy and kate as our possibles but this one threw me a little bit.

what does everyone think of Lydia?

I love Lydia, really classy name, I have a couple of friends called Lydia wonderful people :)

i like lydia that's lovely.
but i also love lucy xxx

yeah i love lucy too!

of course maybe i drop the katherine and replace it with lydia... although id have to think of a new middle name as Lydia Emlia doesnt really flow with them both ending with an A.

my fave is still cecelia thoigh... and i figure ill still try it when baby is born iof we end up having a girl lol hubby just doesnt like it, but maybe he'll feel different on the day if we have a girl

we could have a boy yet

i also liked hope but as MY name is joanna that would be awkward cos of the song "give me hope joanna, hope joanna, give me hope joanna till the morning comes" lol

Aw I like Lydia and think it would be soooo cute at toddler age.

would it suit all the way through though?

Yeah jojo, I know someone who is almost 30 called Lydia. I think it's a beautiful name but would just be extra cute having a little toddler called Lydia - don't know why haha, but yes, I think it's a great name. :)

lol aaaand its off the table lol hubby says it sounds like a librarian or a lady in HR... which is apparently a bad thing.

ofc this is the man who wants to name a girl annakin.... never going to happen

Whaaat?! Men huh? We think we've got it all sorted and then they come along and disagree! It's never even a good reason. I just get "it's tacky" all the time. I don't think he even knows he meaning of the word. Lizzie is nice and quite similar?

oh dont get me started i had a LOVELY name...

cecelia Faith

but nOOooooOOoooo he doesnt like it!

couldnt offer anything serious in return but just said no

we had the 2 names set out as main options and he said he didnt garee on lucy but he bloody did! lol

hes now agreed it as long as we dont call a baby girl lydia lol... turns out there wasa vicious b***h in his school called lydia... kinda why id never name a girl jaqueline or a boy christopher

That's the annoying thing - we have to do all the work and come up with names until the finally agree on one, they never haveany ideas of what they wan, just what they DON'T want!

I had an epic list of girls names and husband liked absolutely none. He offered 2 alternatives but I didn't like either. FINALLY we agreed on one last week which I fell in love with and knew no other name would do, but now we know we're having a boy so it does't matter haha!

Lucy is really really lovely.

i wanted lucia but hubby made a yuck brussel sprouts face at it lol.

we'll probably end up with a boy as everyone thinks were having a boy anyway - secretly id like a girl just so i can prove pple wrong haha!

ofc when bubs is here we may gop with a name we havent even discussed cos baby may not look like any of the names weve chosen

My friend has a little girl called Lydia and she is beautiful, it really is a lovely name and grows nicely from a baby to a young lady xx

Yeah Lucia was our girl's name. I think it's gorgeous.

Lydia is my stepdaughters name. We call her Lydie for short top which is cute.

I've put Lydia to my dh, as it goes with our 'ending in a' theme, quite like it but he hasn't responded so it's probably a no!! xx
