Hiya, im new to this forum, i have been coming on lately to have a nose at how you lot are getting on in your pregnancies! Hope you are all well!

Anyway, a bit about me, im 18 have a little boy of 2 and a half already, and found out i was pregnant nearly 2 weeks ago now. I've been with my current partner for over a year now, and we live together.

He is happy about it but i am shocked as I did a pregnancy test thinking i wasn't going to be pregnant, as i haven't really had any periods for over 6 months now, but this hasn't been due to pregnancy, i think my body is just a bit messed up. I did the test just before i was gonna go to the doctors to try and get the doctor to find out why i still wasn't having periods. But as i knew she would say is there any chance your pregnant i thought i would do a quick test before so i could say that im definitely not pregnant.! And here I am.

I still don't quite believe that im pregnant because we were being careful, i don't feel pregnant and all i have had for proof is 4 pregnancy tests lol. I done 2 clear blue ones, which say 3+, how accurate have these been for people who have done these? Because i really have got no idea how far i am. The doctor did say she thought i wasn't that far as she felt my tummy and couldn't feel anything, however i am hoping when i go for my scan next week to find out, i will be about 12 weeks by then! Otherwise its going to drag even more! How far do you think i would have to of been for the doctor to feel anything by feeling my tummy? Because i wouldnt of thought shed feel anything until about 12 weeks anyway!

Time is going soooo slowly til this scan on the 24th, its killing me! I don't know how all you ladys do it, get a positive test and have to wait another month or more until you get a scan! I'm trying to keep busy to make the days go quicker! I just feel so worried whether there will even be a baby there when i go for the scan, and if it will be ok :(. when i was pregnant with my son a few years ago, i didnt find out until about 18 Weeks so i had a scan pretty much straight away.

I hope to chat to you all on here and share experiences, sorry for going on lol xxxx

Hi there! Im new to the forum too and decided to get involved because all I seem to read are negative stories... I'll introduce myself too...

Im around 9 weeks pregnant and am having my pregnancy confirmed tomorrow (with a bit of luck!) I've had most of the normal symptoms, feeling neusea first thing in the morning (although this was on honeymoon in Mexico, so when i came home it turned into afternoon sickness which was weird!) it seems to have settled now and I havent actually BEEN sick yet, which is good!
I've also suffered from tiredness LOTS and need an afternoon nap nearly every day haha...

I cant wait for my scan either, had a few problems and ended up in A&E at the weekend only to find I had a kidney infection...of course as its my first baby I thought it was early signs of miscarriage...they put my mind at rest though and I am feeling more reassured now!!!
Goes to show that not EVERY strange symptom means the worst, but I have been a victim of mammy paranoia for the last 4 days haha...I just want my scan; I need to see my baby and hear the heartbeat then I will be fine!!!

Hope to speak to you all soon

Welcome to you both. As soph says, this is a great site. As for the tests they are supposed to be pretty accurate apparently. I did a couple ofvthe digi ones which were spot on. Congratulations! X

Welcome you 2 and congrats!!! Regardin the clear blue tests they are pretty accurate? Hopr to hear more about you both soon! X

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I can totally empathise with you about the time dragging. I found out at 5 weeks and every day feels like forever, waiting for my scan!!!
I agree with everyone, the digi tests are very accurate. With the feel of your uterus, I think it starts to pop out over your pelvis around 12 weeks?? So before that they wouldn't be able to feel anything.
Wishing you lots of luck and happiness for the coming months! xx

congrats to you both! I only registered on here yesterday & already loving the site & people on here :)

I used the digi ones, they helped me as I thought I had a 'period '& expecting to see 1-2w come up, yet it said 2-3w which wasnt possible, turned out I was a month further than I thought. However, that didnt have a good outcome, but I'm back now & all is well so far :)

Lots of luck....PS time is standing still here too, found out with this one just after 4wks, so its been forever already! x x x

Congrats! And welcome to both of you!

You will be very lucky if you find out you are quite far gone when you have your scan.
I found out at 4 weeks, am now at 7 and a half weeks, and have caved in, and paid £49 for a private reassurance scan, which I have this weekend - I couldnt wait ANY longer, lol!

Good luck and keep us updated xxxx

My cousin works in a midwife led unit and had managed to het me a scan TOMORROW!!! Im so excited! My midwife appointment isnt until 8th october and Im already around 9 weeks so I couldnt wait any longer! Jeans are now a bit 'clingy' but I havent put any weight on other than my mini bump!!! xxx
