Gawd knows what's going on with me!!! My last two charts have been text book ... exactly what you would expect ... but this month the OPKs have been wierd and now my temps are all over the place!! Maybe I haven't ovulated after all?!? I had a really bad nights sleep last night tho, so I think that maybe why my temp dropped so low again today ... depending on what happens over the next few days I may well disregard today's temp.... (I woke up at 3:30am and then dosed in and out until my alarm went off at 5:30am) ....

hey loulou, puff-puff is on vacation so i don't think she'll be able to update us soon. Noticed your tickers, if you're past 9 weeks then you probably never had a m/c?? When are you having your scan to find out? (sorry if you've already mentionned that and I missed it)

Bec, you should probably disregard today's temp as you need 3 consecutive hours of sleep before taking your temperature... Hope it stabilizes a little bit over the next few days! Are you still testing with OPKs and getting weird results?

doctor said i'll get a scan before im 12 weeks by their dates so should be within the next couple of weeks,hopefully will here from midwife sometime this week,doc only said that later date as she doesnt believe that i could get a positive on a digital a week before af was due,but i only had a short cycle as i ovulated really early but she seems to go by the crap that everyones cycle is 28 days.and as i only bled for a few days instead of my normal week which i thought was a chemical or m/c she thinks that i may be pregnant from then as i was using cheapo tests this cycle and they have been really feint until i got my bfp on digital and i did a test two days ago on a cheapo and it was still feint either way we'll find out soon

Oh I see. I was going to tell you that before your BFP you were getting all these faint lines on cheap tests so you couldn't have been that far along. But since you're still getting faint lines on those I guess it's possible. Your chart of that month looked like a normal cycle's though

chart was normal but at a higher temp range ,i never did a test after as i just presumed,either way im not fussed as im pregnant now and thats all that matters be bubba being born beginning of may or end of

there is something i'm not sure of tho, does it mean that i cant conceive now cos ive ovulated or should i BD now to get caught? sorry i'm so crap at this lol

If you are using ovulation sticks and you get positive lines it means you have the LH surge just before you ovulate, so you need to be getting down to business on the days you get the positive results and I think I even did it for a day or two afterwards - just to be sure

I think you normally ovulate anytime between 24-36 hours after getting a positive result with the ovulation sticks.

When your temp rises and you get your lines it means you have ovulated ... you have a chance of catching on the day after ov .. but not really anytime after that (unless you ovulate twice in one month!!!!) .... the egg is only live for 6-12 hours after ovulation so BDing before and on the day of ov is the way to do it!!

bec i think you ought to put that dipped temp back in,it may be implantation,dont want to get your hopes up,but it looks good,you can implant that early and i know you had a rubbish sleep but if i have a bad night my temps go up and not down

Hmmmm .... well if I put that dip back in it takes my lines away .... think I might wait and see what happens with my temps over the next few days .. and if they stay high and/or increase I might put it back in .....!

thanks girls, i'm just startin to get to grips with the whole charting thing, and you've been really helpful.

is it right that if your pregnant your temps stay higher? so now mine have dipped down i can take that as me not bein pg this month?

ive been lookin at everyone elses charts and to be honest still cant make head nor tail of it lol will it get easier?

would you suggest using the OPKs?

Lyn,

No don't take it that you're not pregnant because of the dip. Sometimes this can be an implantation dip (althouh they say implantation takes place 7-10 dpo). Anyway, don't mean to get your hopes up but it could be i guess... This said, many people have similar dips in their charts without ending up pregnant So don't rule anything out. Best wait and see, your temp will probably go up tomorrow. After 2 or 3 cycles you'll hopefully have a pattern and see if the ups and downs are similar every month. I really hope that this won't be necessary!! Best of luck!!

Hey Bec, looks like your chart is calming down now! And yes try to put that discarded temp back in once you secure your red lines! I know you said this is an off-month but i have everything crossed for you!

Layla ... my temp has dropped alot today... so gawd knows what is going on with my chart either!! We really do seem to be in the same boat this month ... I'm seriously beginning to think I haven't actually ovulated this month now!! I do normally get a dip around 6-8 DPO .. but not usually below the coverline!!? Ah phooey! I give up

Lyn .... yes high temps can indicate pregnancy .. but they don't mean much at this stage in your cycle ... as Andrianne said it could be an implantation dip as alot of women get that .... but as she also said it could mean nothing (sorry don't mean to crush all hope!!) .... I always seem to get a dip and I'm not pg yet ...... From looking at the chart gallery on FF it looks like temps tend to start rising again around 10-13 DPO for pg women ... and THEN they stay high ... so at this stage it is difficult to read anything into it!
