hi ladies so harry is 3 weeks old and ever since last night he's had a snuffly nose and this morning it was runny, he's struggling to breathe and has been sick this morning, he hasnt got a temperature his read 36.7 which is normal and he's sleepy all the time, he just woke for a feed and then went back to sleep straight away. i'm gonna ring the gp tomorrow but should i take him to the hospital because he's just not himself, he's normally so alert and happy?

My LO has a blocked nose and is all congested I have been giving her capol nasal spray - its suitable from birth . It seems to be working xxx

a cold at that age is a lot to deal with. George struggled to feed quite as efficiently when she was blocked up, and did sleep a bit more, was also kinda grumpy.

we used the calpol nasal spray as weel. id keep an eye on him, but if your worried dont hesitate to phone out of hours. xxx

They always sleep a lot when they are not well, its their way of getting through it, Jake had an awful cold and cough at 3 weeks old, I just gave him saline nose drops before each feed as he was too young for calpol at that age, as long as he is feeding and has wet and dirty nappies I'm sure he will be ok but keep an eye on his temp just to be sure, hope he feels better soon xxx

Mia is just over a cold...it was so hard.
she slept way more than she normally did and even went off her feeds.
i used nasal spray and an asperator, regular calpol and Karvol capsuls (they are only suitable from 3 months tho)
colds are so hard on them but im sure all will be fine. hope all better soon hun. xxx
