Good Morning, ladies!

First of all, i'd like to say that I absolutely love this website - you are all so lovely and extremely supportive - which is why i decided to join!

I've just found out i'm PG, so I thought that I would tell you my story.

Well, where to begin.... My last period was on 26th April and my cycles are usually 27-28 days. I have to say that my boyfriend and I haven't done the BD very often this month, as i've been getting ready to move house (just moved on Thursday). A few days after i think that i ovulated, I began to feel very weird - i felt very dopey and i was extremely forgetful. I'm a teacher and I managed to misplace a set of 30 books, my keys, my mobile phone, my laptop - my friends at work thought it was hilarious!

My bbs were also painful on and off - something which usually happens when i am approaching that time of the month. I also started getting sharp pains in my ovaries approx. 3 days post ovulation, which lasted for 3 days. I actually thought it was cysts - i had cysts on my ovaries about 6 years ago and thought because the pain was in that area, that they had returned. My period was due Tues 22nd / Wed 23rd and that was when i started to notice veins in my bbs.

I decided yesterday morning to do a test - just to rule out pg - i thought i was late because of the stress of moving and my exhaustion was down to it being the end of a very long term at school. I seriously could not believe it when it said i was pg - so i decided to wait until this morning to do another one - and it was another BFP!

I still can't quite believe it - i know that i have the physical proof in the test results (got a picture, but don't know how to put it on!) , but i can't quite take it in yet. I did not have implantation bleeding and no change in CM that i noticed. I was so certain that i wasn't pg, that i was planning to wait until af showed up and then find a ttc buddy! Just thought of another symptom - i am so hungry - even been waking up in the middle of night for food!

I'm not quite sure what to do now, as this is my first pregnancy. I'm also going back home to Ireland tomorrow for half-term and i feel that i need to tell my mummy and daddy - what do you think? Is it too early?

congratulations on your bfp :D your in for an amazing journey  :cheer:

CONGRATULATIONS

congratulations! :cheer:

Hope you have a happy and healthy nine months

I told my parents right away but some people might leave it til later.

Congratulations.

I told my parents straight away. Mum would probably have guessed anyway.

I like jemz24's idea of telling your parents on Fathers Day. What a lovely surprise that would be. xxx

Ah, thank you, ladies! I think I will tell my parents tomorrow - i don't think i will be able to keep it in! Think it'd be best to do it when i see them in person, rather than on the phone. Does anyone have any good ideas of how to tell your parents?

:)

have you told your parents?
i told my mum as soon as i found out
i thought, shes going to know some time so might as well be now
just take a deep breath and say it in one big blurted sentance :D

Hello!!

Sorry i've taken a while to get back to you - Yes, i have told my family. Felt a bit strange telling my mummy - she was delighted, but part of me felt like i'm not her little girl anymore - though, having said that, i'll be 28 in August!

I've done 2 more tests as well - just to make sure! It's quite strange now - i'm just waiting for more symptoms to come. Bit worried though, as I'm doing a GCSE listening exam next week and i don't want to have to run out of it to be sick. Think I should just chill out and enjoy being sick free just now!

Wow!! So cool... good luck on the next 8 months!

I can't wait to experience the same thing and be able to tell my family and friends... so exciting!

How did your partner react?

congrats again!

keep us posted...
