Need advise and support urgently!

Haya,

My son was born Monday 23rd, initially I was set on formula feeds as breast feeding has never been something I've felt I could do.
I am now desperate to breast feed and want to do it but I don't know if I can now I have used formula or how to if I can.


Any advise would be welcome

Hi hun, just a quick one - you need to feed him in order to produce milk. Its not too late but you need to feed feed feed. Can you phone a mw and urgently ask for help? Most likely he will know what to do but might not latch on properly straight away.

Not too late, but get some support today. Call the ward and ask what help is available.

Agree with the other ladies, it is definitely possible, let him suckle all day if need be. Get yourself a drink and plenty of food and keep him skin to skin. If you have problems with latching get help - it can be sore to start with but it gets better!

As the others have said get some support ring mw ask if you have a breastfeeding councillor local to you.
Get snuggled on the sofa with lo and let them suckle.
