Off to the Drs this morning got another UTI and right at the crucial time too as I should OV in the next few days.

Had a UTI in July too that messed up TTC.

I have been having recurring UTIs for nearly 2 years, had my kidney scanned and seen a specialist who told me to take antibiotics for 3 months

Going to ask the Dr to refer me again, been up since 2.30am and sat on the loo with a pillow and hot water bottle

sorry your feeling off today, hope they get that sorted soon, my little girl used to get urine infections all the time and they were awful.

Saw the Dr and she gave me 100 Augmentin to take 3x for 5 days and then loads spare for when I need them. I can take them whilst TTC and pregnant. I asked her to refer me back to the specialist as it has nearly been two years!

My Mum said to me (her one piece of advice) don't have children in July and August because of schooling (not sure what she was on about) the rate I am going it will be July and August!

I think maybe it's something to do with them either being the oldest or youngest in their year but i'm not totally sure!! My mum looks at me totally blank when I start explaining about EWCM and stuff like that, bless her, she says that they never even looked for that sort of thing in her day!! she's great though.xxxxx

Poor Moofa! UTIs are the worse!

I had a BAD one not so long ago. Got a huge lecture from the doc about going how I need to go wee immediately after sex - like I was a virgin or something!!!

Let me just warn you... DON'T drink a gallon of cranberry juice in one day trying to get rid of symptoms! I did that, and ended up in the loo for the wee and for the other thing you do in the loo ALL DAY!!!


Now I make sure I don't hold it in EVER, I go as soon as I feel the urge...albeit often. And I get up and wee right after sex. Haven't had one since, knock wood!

They also sell some really good UTI pain meds at US drugstores called AZO...little tiny pills that turn your urine bright orange - but you aren't in agonizing pain.

Oh babydreams im sorry i didnt mean drink a carton a day i ment it by drink a glass or 2 a day sorry i should of wrote my bit properly, but cranberry juice is really good i used to work in a chemist and for people asking for advice and not wanting to take medicines we recommended cranberry juice.

i recommend the canestan oasis powder sachets you can get... they are cranberry flavoured with baking soda in them, to help flush out the infection... you can get them from the supermarkets... just dissolve a sachet in water and drink...

they are excellent! and you can catch a UTI in its first stages and flush it out, no need for antibiotics etc etc.............xx

Thanks for the advice everyone.

Got some oasis sachets and they seem to be working.

I always wee after sex but I can get an UTI not due to sex, so not sure what is causing it. My Dr said some women are just prone to it.
