Well I must have been sleeping in an odd position last night and when I woke up I turned to see the alarm clock and have ended up in a fair amount of pain. It's coming from right down at the bottom of my neck/top of my shoulder and only comes on like a stabbing pain when I move into certain positions, and not everytime I adopt those positions. I think it might be muscle spasms more than a pulled muscle or anything.
I've had a hot shower and that seemed to help ease it a bit, just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions? I was supposed to be going out with the dog this morning, well she's had to wait til OH gets back and later we were going to be moving all my garden furniture from my old house which we are renting out to our house. Apart from that I don't want this going on all day, so sore..........any suggestions??

Only heat? Alternate hot and cold might help too if its muscular. Have you got a wheatbag you could mould around your neck? Hope you feel better soon :)

Thanks Rosie's Mummy,
My OH went to the pharmacy and she said heat and paracetamol, GP or NHS 24, I'll try a cold compress too. It is starting to ease a bit, I can now move my right arm without the stabbing pain. My OH has confined me to the sofa propped up with pillows to take the weight off my neck, I'm sure it'll do my pelvis some good too having a rest day. It's so much hard work doing nothing though!!
