Natural or managed 3rd stage????

Soooo...weve been to some antenatal classes and at one of the classes we discussed natural and managed 3rd stage. Im not really sure what to choose. Been told more chance of bleed with natural but more chance of retained placenta with managed. Im confused so im looking for advice from people who have already had a baby and what they chose and If they did and was it the right choice looking back? Thanks everyone x

I chose natural with DD1. Delivered the placenta in under 10mins with no complications so the right choice for me but when I requested natural the midwife said no problem but if the labour became complicated she would 'tell' me to change my mind.
