Quite a lighthearted topic :):)

Just curious to see in what order does everyone feed/change their babies. My baby is 11 days old and we are still trying to find our feet.

When my son wakes up, I feed him. I change his nappy when he comes off the boob, as most times he tends to do a poo after a feed. I then give him a bit more milk before attempting to rock him back to sleep.

This order works for us at the moment as he is a little more settled after a feed, otherwise as soon as I take his nappy off he starts to cry.

What does everyone else do?

I try to do it in the same order as you. Occasionally I do her nappy first as sometimes my little girls pumps are what wake her up- they are so loud and often sound wet so I want her out of the wet nappy before I feed her. Where I can it's boob, nappy, other boob, cuddle

I change my baby's nappy before a feed. I have a posh pooper who waits for a clean nappy before going.

I'm the same, boob, nappy, other boob. We can never change immediately after a poo as his poos come in pair about 5 minute apart lol. So he'll poo, have one boob, take himself off, poo again, change and then fall asleep on the other boob lol.
How's the breastfeeding going Bigbee?

I make the bottle, then change their nappy while its cooling, then feed the bottle, then I check the nappy again by peering through the poppers, then cuddle and a sleep. I repeat this every 2-3 hours at the moment.

Have to do nappy first because I have quite a sleepy baby so far. I know they say not to wake a sleeping baby, but if I didn't he wouldn't eat and would sit in a dirty nappy without letting us know!!

Jessie we are pretty much the same with the poos lol I was changing twice till i just let her finish properly haha!

If i change her after feeding shes sick from all the moving her about etc plus it just wakes her up! So yeah boob, change, other boob.

I've always changed his nappy before a feed but that was because he has reflux so I try not to lie him down when he is full of milk!

depends on which is more urgent need, i.e. if slept for 3hrs since last feed but not had nappy changed for 5hrs consider nappy priority but if really hungry feed, nappy then feed again but also like others have said if theyve slept for 4hrs since feed and nappy then feed more important as they often 'go' during feed lol...

Depends if I need to wake him I will change feed sleep but if he wakes up then it's feed change feed sleep :)

Sometimes he fills his nappy whilst feeding so I normally change him just to wake him atm xx

i'd always change nappy first but these days, my LO seems to nod off before the feed has finished. He gets to a certain amount, gets all sleepy but we're having to change his nappy after burping him just so he wakes up to finish off the bottle.

If he's nodding off on a feed all the time, maybe look at going up a teat size. If the milks taking too long to come out he could be giving up and nodding off.

Also if he's nodding off on feeds at night personally I wouldn't wake him to finish it. Just let him sleep.

Seems like pretty much everyone is doing the same thing...instincts? :)
