Same here.

When LO had nappy rash I was changing much more frequently, about every 1-1.5 hours. But normally, she needs changing about every 3 hours or so.

My LO was prem & on special care for a few weeks - so as you, I initially changed him before every feed, as this is what they did in hospital.

Now if I hear him go (poo) I'll change him immediately, as it can't be nice to be lying in it for several hours.

Otherwise I still do it before a feed.... I don't think it matters too much through the dayime as long as it's regular (I try not to let him go more than 4hrs).

Through the night I do it before a feed cos after a feed he's sleepy when I wind him, and I think it'd wake him up again and be difficult to put into his cot again if I did it afterwards.

The guidelines are to change before a feed, but i always found my kids would dump while they were feeding. :rotfl: :rotfl: so i change afterwards now if they need it.

Dylan was in special care too and they changed before a feed, but I didn't see the point in that if he didn't need it and I bf so I would have been changing him constantly. I just change him when he needs it, I just pull his nappy to the side to check if there's pee/poo (or smell him lol)

It used to be after becuase she would always poo during a feed. But she now poo's once a day so we change her nappy before a feed. Especially at night so we can put her down straight after without waking her if she has gone to sleep.

I change him before a feed - esp at night as it stimulates him and I can feed him back to sleep.

We change before a feed too. If we do it after, Jacob throws some of his feed back up! Obviously if he has done a poo after his feed (which he sometimes does on a morning) we change him again :D
