Nappies!

This is my first one but I am gonna stockpile the nappies, maybe not size 1 as they only last in them a month or so..

But does anyone know the difference between mini and maxi nappies is it the size of the actual diaper or the heaviness? Also who has deals on? I know it's a bit early but I am on full pay right now :)

I have no idea hun, but I plan to do the same - whilst I am still working full time I am going to stockpile as much as I can (household and baby stuff!!)

I'll start after our 20 week scan!

xxxxxxxx

Asdas little angels nappies are good im told, and cheap too x

Asda's baby event is still on and I got 92 (yes 92!!) Huggies Newborn for £8. Brilliant deal!! After they run out I'm planning on just going on to own brand nappies once I'm in the swing of things, I'll probably test run a few first xx

A word of warning don't stockpile nappies as you don't know how big your baby will be ad therefore how long they'll be in each size

I didn't go mad and bought about 150 size ones (bearing in mind they can go through up to 10 a day) so I thought that was fine 2 weeks supply. I also bought a couple of packs of size 2.......

Roll on to baby being born. He was 10lb 10oz and lasted 5 days in his size 1 nappies and around another week on size 2

I was left with a load of nappies I didn't need. I bought huggies but actually prefer pampers so that's another thing to consider- you don't know what'll suit your baby
If I could have my time again I'd just put money to one side.

Supermarkets have always got offers on nappies so I wouldn't worry too much about feeling like you're missing out on offers xx

I'd stock up on cotton wool and wipes as you know you'll get through those. We've used loads of cotton wool on the first few weeks xs

very good advise becky I totally agree I suggest buying a few of different brands and trying them out , i had always found pampers to be the best with my no.4(a boy) but when I used them on no.5 (a girl) her pooh would explode and pour out of the legs holes a total nightmare. xx

Wow good advice, bit traumatic but good to be forewarned.

I only got the free packs of size one, those with vouchers etc, ooodles of size 2 and stacks of 3. My daughter is 18 months old and STILL in size 4! She's only 21lb and was 6lb 12 at birth so she's a lanky tiny thing.

Wipes are really good to stock up on, along with other bathroom essentials xx

I didnt buy any nappies in size 1 they all start with size 2 x

I stocked up mainly on size 3s but some size 1s and 2 s at 18 months she's just going into a 4 plus x

We would like to switch to reusables from around 4 weeks so we have bought 2 packs of Pampers Newborns and got two packs of Huggies with vouchers, my SIL said not to go too mad because different babies have different nappy requirements!! We have bought enough wipes and cotton wool though!! Xx
