possibly the most pointless thread to have been created but I felt the need to share my view.

I was probably in the top 3 of people to worry about stretch marks & a commited user of bio-oil and cocoa butter I managed to avoid any, until week 37.

Now they have arrived I'm not half as gutted as i thought id be. I've actually enjoyed looking at them,
because they swirl around my belly button, they make me smile because they're like little trails of where babies feet have been, it's quite nice thinking if they do stay that I can look at them and know baby was completely healthy while i was carrying him/her around!

So really my post is to convince people like me they are not your worst enemy and we should develop a feeling of warmth that we achieved so much in 9 months instead of dispising the way our tummies might end up looking. xx

Funny enough I found a new stretch mark today that I wasn't impressed with! But now you've said that it does make me feel a little bit better! You better be putting posts like this up after our babys are born and summers here! lol

Yay!

It might be tricky, I usually have the LEAST positive attitude towards things like this,
so if i do post anything it should be taken very seriously & ladies should know that i've not just OD'd on happy hormones for the day! lol x

I call them my go faster stripes!!! I was a bit gutted to start with but my OH doesn't seem to mind them and the more I see them, the more I see them as my badge of honour for being able to carry my baby.

My baby has been trekking the globe then.

I'm really gutted about my stretchmarks. And to add insult they have a nasty itchy rash in them which is spreading all over my body.

I am trying to view them more positively but struggling. :(

I used to hate mine but have accepted them as my "keepsake" of how i carried 3 beautiful healthy children, mind you its taken me 12yrs to accept them lol x

They are my battle scars. Can't say I like them but I think that has more to do with the fact that the ones I had with Dylan after 14 years had faded to nothing. Now they are back I am trying to remind myself that however much I dislike them they are a sign of how much I have struggled through this pregnancy. I shall wear each and everyone like a medal of honour each one for everyday of pain I have had from the SPD and arthritis. xxxxxx

thats a lovely way of putting them x

Yay on people getting to grips with their stretchmarks.
There must be much more ladies with them than without so we shouldn't be ashamed.

:) x
