My lil Bruiser got weighed today....

He is 15lb 2oz and he is only 7 weeks old tomorrow!!!!
He is already in age 3-6 month clothes and guzzles 7oz bottles of hungrier baby formula like its nothing!!

I have NO idea how I managed to have such a huge baby!! He is nearly as tall as me!!


I can see me having to stand on my tiptoes to give him a kiss when he starts at reception class at school!!!

tbh apart from his face being chubby he isnt overly fat anywhere else. He is just really long and has big feet and big hands too! I got him some shoes aged 6-12 months and they are a bit on the small side!! His dad has a rugby players physique although he isnt very tall so looks as though James is taking after him but will probably be quite tall as well.

Can I ask if you have had any grief from the HV for putting him on hungry baby formula?

After a bodge up my HV came round yesterday (should have been earlier but didn't get my discharge notes) and did not seem happy that he was on the hungry babs stuff..she said I will have nothing to put him on before weaning...felt really bad!

No she didnt say anything at all. I dont think she could really as he was on 6oz of the normal stuff from 4 weeks old every 2 hours and was still hungry (trying to eat his hand, my face, my hand, my neck, you name it he would try and eat it!!) so there wasnt really much choice tbh.

I dont think i will have much trouble weaning him - just gonna stick him straight on steak and chips!!

I looked on his chart before and he is in the 98th percentile of babies for his weight and age!!!

Well James was 12lb 1oz at 4 weeks and doesnt show any sign of slowing down! He is healthy and happy though and thats all that matters

I feel my lil man is getting hefty too. He's 7 weeks on Thursday and weighs 12lb 4oz. He's by no means chubby just big. It's all my extra good booby milk I reckon!
