Cycle 1 - 30 day cycle, ovulated day 15
Cycle 2 - 30 day cycle, ovulated day 14, very painful period
Cycle 3 - 30 day cycle, ovulated day 22, very painful period, rightsided pain throughout from CD10
Cycle 4 - 45 day cycle, ovulated day 31, less painful, no rightsided pain
Cycle 5 - 23 day cycle, ovulated day 19, very painful period, right sided pain throughout from CD10
Cycle 6 - (CD 18) no ovulation as of yet. Rightsided twinges on and off, left sided pain and massive ovulation symptoms on CD 14, with a temp dip and spike after (which didnt stay up unfortunately).

All of these off cycles I've had positive OPKs, either at "normal" times like this month which didn't end in ovulation, or numerous positives through the month. I confirm O by temping as I don't get any fertile mucous, nor ovulation symptoms (other than this month, or so I thought).
I have a scan booked in January for the pain. The pain is excruciating a week before AF and subsides after. The rightsided pain is very specific, sharp, on and off and feels like a hot stabbing needle, getting more frequent nearer AF.

This cycle chart below. Any opinions and feedback welcomed about what may be going on, I just want to talk about it and see if anyone shares anything similar. Anyone think I may have ovulated going by my chart as well?

Thank you for reading xx

How frustrating for you! I tried temping but I'm not ovulating so gave up. Opks just confirm the LH surge which you can get even if you don't ovulate so I never used them as they just give false hope. My charts looked very much like yours - very up and down - but I've had it confirmed by bloods that I'm not ovulating.

I hope they get to the bottom of your pain as that's not right at all. Hopefully your scan will give you some answers, good luck :)

Do you know what the problem is and why you're not ovulating?

No idea at the moment. I've had scans, bloods, swabs etc done and everything is clear. I've had weekly bloods done for the last few months (I've been having periods every 2/3 weeks) which have shown no ovulation. Hubs is to do a semen sample then the dr will refer us to infertility clinic. My guess is clomid first then possibly tests to check my tubes etc. Not entirely sure but hopefully our referral won't take too long...with the holidays hubs will do his sample next week and dr said once she receives results she will do the referral.

When is your scan?

The scan is on Thursday, I only had to wait a month luckily.

I didn't ovulate again this month (so far anyway, CD 26). I have to wait for the scan results for any further progress which is fair enough. If it comes to it, I can't have any fertility help until 18 months of trying because I'm under 30 - but I suppose that depends on what the scan shows up? If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know.

Husband is able to have his sperm checked this/next week though - pointless of course, as it's me with the problem, but good to know anyway.
I've always thought I'd have issues, I just knew it deep down.

I was sure the witch was on her way, having cramps. I'd hoped that meant I had ovulated at the normal time. Looks like it's going to be another very long cycle.

The scan is an internal and external. I wonder if I can still go ahead if I do start bleeding before?

Your scan may tell you more, they will probably still go ahead even if your period arrives - I had constant bleeding/spotting when I had my scan but it stopped just before. They never asked if I was bleeding or anything though.

How long have you been trying?

With your temps, do you take them at the same time every day as soon as you wake up?

We've been trying for 6 months, though I've been temping and OPKing for nine. Everything was normal, ovulation/cycle length etc, up until 4 months ago. Just no idea what's wrong or why it changed so quickly.

Has anything else changed? Like anything in your life unrelated to your cycle? Were you on any birth control before you started trying?

It's very frustrating when it changed out of the blue!

I stopped contraceptive a year ago. GP said it may have been masking something and finally cleared from my body - I don't see why I would have been ovulating before this trouble though.

What were you on? Sometimes it can take a bit of time for our bodies to adjust...maybe it's just worn off and your body is trying to get back to normal without it.

I do hope so! The awful pain is a worry though
