Well to start with I never got my xmas bfp , started spotting xmas day which carried on until the 27th then witch showed full force that night, rang the hospital in tears and I thought they would cancel the op spoke to a lovely lady who took pity on me through my sobs and said she would speak to my doctor, she rang me back to say they can still do it phew!
Got the the hospital at 7.30am and was taken down to my ward straight away which meant hubby had to leave
Afer filling in some paper work and speaking to my doctor I was then given a very fetching gown and stockings to put on, was then taken down to the operating room around 9am this is when the nerves really kicked in. My anesthetist was funny and was making me laugh, he put in my cannula which didnt hurt as much as I expected then gave me a very nice sedative which made me space right out, next thing I know I was waking up in the recovery room. Was then taken back to my ward, I remember seeing a clock which said 10.30am but was still really out of it.
It took me a good hour or so to get my bearings back, I didnt feel any pain and was worried at first that they hadnt done anything until I had a look and saw my bandages. My throat was and still is very sore from where they put a tube down it.
After a couple more hours I was feeling more normal and that is when I spotted my hospital file so I had a good nosey and the notes from my op were in there so I got to read up on what they had done. It said I had two small patches of endo which they burnt off, both tubes were clear and they drilled 5 holes in each of my ovaries. The entire op took an hour.
There were also some picture of my insides in there as well which was awesome, so I took some picture of them and my hospital notes on my phone, which got me a few funny looks off the nurses
I then put a bit of make up on (have major pms spots) which made my nurse laugh.
I then spoke to the assisting doctor who told me it all went ok, and I asked her if I needed to start a new course of clomid and met, she had to speak to my specialist who said to leave the clomid for this month and just have the met, which I was fine about as I have had two normalish cycles since being off the clomid.
Had to wait a couple of hours for them to get my prescription from the pharmacy
So while I was waiting I asked if I could have my cannula removed as it was starting to hurt, but was told I had to have a pee first before they could remove it, so I hobbled off to the loo with a cardboard pot, was really difficult to pee as they must of put a catheter in during the op, but I finally managed to go after about 5 minutes, was a bit scary seeing all the blood in it but the nurse said that was normal.
Went back to my bed and that is when I notice all the blood, I had a pad on the bed but I must of bleed quite a bit as it was everywhere . I am still bleeding now but not to much.
Hubby then came and picked me up around 5pm. I felt fine but did have some pain in my shoulder from the gas, slept a lot better then expected. Feeling a lot more tender today, am walking like a hunchback as standing up straight hurts. Have to keep my bandages on for 2-3 days, cant have sex for 7 days and I am not allowed to wear tampax for 7 days either so have to wear horrible fat sanny pads
I have attached some of my pictures for you to have a look at, I found them really interesting but then again they are my insides
Picture 1 - I think this is the endo they found!!
