I used the hypnobirthing book and cd for my sons birth and it was amazing. I d recommend doing classes though. Some practitioners offer concessions and payment plans. After my sons birth I trained as a practitioner as his birth changed my life. I highly recommend it. Just an indication my group classes cost £290 for 5 sessions of 2.5 hours.

MrsMc How have you been finding the cd and book? I've not been doing mine much but going to start soon! Did you speak to your midwife about it? I didn't as i felt like she was rushing as she was running a bit late with appt's!

I've been listening to the cd for a while now- still makes me cry every time......when it gets to the bit about actually giving birth and meeting your baby for the first time.....can't stop the tears! Quite powerful stuff this natal hypnotherapy!

I started classes on Friday (late birthday present from mum and DH LOL) - was brill - took my mum with me as she is my second birthing partner and got the CD and book - been listening to the CD everynight and feeling really chilled even during the day
