'my god you're huge'

hayley, tankett - are we all talking about the same people here!!!! i've had exactly the same comments!!! "your so used to your own space - what are you gonna do when baby arrives" - THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER MOTHER!!!! GET ON WITH IT..... It's not like we didn't think about the chages to our life!!! we actual want these changes... a baby is what we want!!!!!

I also get the comments like "if you keep eating like tht you'll be as big as a house" WHAT 2 APPLES AND 2 CEREAL BARS!!!! from 6am to 11.30am... 5 1/2 hours - i don't think i've really broke the calorie bank!!!!

But then i do get the nice comments too!!! "aren't you carrying well" and "pregnancy really suits you" - that one made me laugh!!!! how does pregnancy suit someone???

I'm taking it all with a pinch of salt!!!!

Hiya Hayley

What you are going to find is that because you are pregnant, all of a sudden people think it gives them the right to comment on everything from your bump size to your name choice. It would not be so bad if what people had to say was positive...but it not always is! :? - What people don't realise is how hurtful they can be or how paranoid they can make you. I often wonder makes people say the sort of things I would not dream of saying to another woman - least of all a pregnant woman at that!

I think you have a lovely bump and a nice size - They come in all shapes and sizes, and are all beautiful in there own way. I used to get told my bump was "tiny" which promptly put me into a panic that my baby was not growing as well as it should - this was compounded by the fact the condition I have meant that the blood flow of my baby could be affected. I became quite efficient (if not obsessive) about measuring my fundle height because people made me quite paranoid.

My advice would be ignore these people - You don't look "huge" to me and if your still in a size 10, I'd say your quite petite considering you are 25 weeks!

i hate it that people think its ok 2 be asking me stuff like, was it planned... are you happy about it... how do u feel about throwin ur life away havin a baby so young

I got alot of that when I was pregnant, drive me up the bloody wall! Suddenly the world and his army think they can make a comment forgetting that women are so sensitive when they are pregnant. The worst I got was from someone i have been friends with for 15 years but not seen me since I was 8 weeks, she saw me at about 28 weeks and said "bloody hell haven't you got fat!". I could have punched her

My friend clare always says how well I look in pregnancy which is a lovely thing to say. It makes a change.

Take no notice chicken!! Some people say I look huge, but then I was talking to my next door neighbour over the back fence this morning (I see her nearly every day) and when I mentioned the baby, she hadn't even noticed that I'm pregnant at all! ( I'm nearly 24 weeks). Some of my clothes are maternity, but I can also fit in 2 pairs of pre-preggo jeans! As long as you and bean are healthy, who cares what everyone else says!! I've found it a bit like BP - I have fat and thin days!

everyone is different shapes and sizes.

with my first daughter i was so little you'd never think there was a baby in there then with my second daughter iwas like i had swallowed a football MASSIVE then with my third i was tiny again. Im waiting to see what im like with this one. So far HUGE!
LOL
