Not a pregnancy question & maybe a little horrible for some although it's only about flies.
Nothing about human babies but my baby. My doggy!
He eats a 'dry' diet ie kibble food and we give him fresh cooked meat with it (usually chicken) & mix it up with boiling water. His dry food is kept it a zip lock bag, in the pantry. However yesterday, we had a big early morning walk & so I made him some lunch, but as I was making our lunch too, I left his ziplock bag out & open, and didn't realise until after lunch when I closed it & put it in the pantry.
Anyway! When I came to give him supper, I heard a strange buzzing & opened the ziplock to find a fly had been trapped in there!
His food is quite expensive & I only bought this bag yesterday (it lasts about 2 week) & I'm the only one who really worries about these type of things so OH said 'it'll be fine' and father said scrape the top few layers of kibble out.
My questions 'Would the house fly lay eggs on his kibble?'
'If so could I see this before they hatched?'
If the case was the fly had landed on our food I'd probably not worry so much but he's my baby & I worry as much as if he was a human baby.
I'm probably gonna throw out the food, but is that just a waste of food & money, money especially with a baby on the way?
