Hi girls, I just wanted to share my experience really as I know how disheartening trying can be . I joined this forum back in November as thats when me and husband started trying for our first little bean! I came off the pill after being on it for 10 years so knew my body would need to get back to normal, and so the first month of trying
.negative
..second month of trying
negative. I then started to feel down and couldnt help but think it wasnt going to happen for us just yet, so stopped trying and just had the attitude of when it happens it happens. So 3 months later I was sat at work and something told me to take a test, not even expecting a positive really, picked the test up and finally saw it
the BFP!! So happy, I couldnt believe it
.I actually ended up taking another 15 more pregnancy tests just to confirm it lol. Just want to let you ladies know, that personally for me trying to conceive didnt help me, we tried to conceive more around ovulation
..now you wouldnt believe the day I conceived...after a birthday meal down town, a few tequila shots and glasses of wine, we had some drunken fun sex (TMI lol), this was a day AFTER my period ended. So as much as some women try to conceive around what they think their ovulation time is, just goes to show that its not, and it can happen at any point. I always get the thick white egg yolk discharge (sorry tmi ) two weeks before my expected period, so assumed that was my ovulation time as it lasted 1-3 days, wrong! My egg actually released a day after my period. Me and my hubby didnt have sex until two weeks after that so was definitely conceived that night as the midwife says the date is too accurate.
I didnt even feel pregnant, I didnt get any implantation bleeding or anything, the only reason I took the test was just simply because I realised I hadnt done one that month. I only started getting my symptoms around 6 weeks, which started with bad cramping then sickness.
Sorry if this seems like an essay, just wanted to let you girls know my experience of trying didnt work for me, and just enjoying the moment, having a good time obviously did work for me. The midwife told me that she gets quite a few people pregnant just a few days after their period or even on their period. So just dont give up hope. Im now 24 weeks expecting my little boy! Hope this helps for you xx
