ahh Im soooo happy! We took the dog for a massive walkt his morning, drove out to a mountain/hill thingy which was quite bumpy ground and steep slopes etc... we didnt go far from the car just incase but did a masssive circle around it. The dog really needed a good run around and the walk obviously did me good cos when I got home I looked in the mirror after changing and thought OMG its low down, and went and showed OH and he thought the same. :yay: it def wasnt down before the walk cos I look in the mirror every morning and then sulk that its still a gravity defying bump!

Then we went to lunch with my mum and sister and my mum noticed straight away!!! :yay:

We went for a long walk this afternoon along cardiff bay and I felt the need to waddle more, and Ive eaten sooo much today its slightly scary, Ive not had room before so I reckon baby must have engaged :yay: just intime for the midwife tomorrow morning!! Im soooo happy!

:yay: hope it all goes well with the MW, I have the MW tomorrow too and am convinced she will tell me that LO has popped out from being 2/5ths....

awww  think positive!! Good luck tomorrow, Im fairly certain your baby wont have popped out so Im sure it will be good news! at my 37 week appointment my babys head was totally free and not even near the brim of engaging, so yours is much more well behaved than mine!

^^ behaving seems to be a rare occurance for Pip!! I am expecting a terror I think

What time do you see the MW?

9.15 am. Shes had to squeeze me in before the clinic starts. Said shell come down early but Im a bit worried she'll forget. Theyre so ridiculously short staffed, OH is coming for the first time tho cos he's off work so he'll get to hear the heartbeat :yay: really looking forward to it! how about you

I love my communtiy and clinic MW visits, the best bit is definately hearing the HB, my clinic MW is an old school friend of DH's, so we always have a good natter, the only thing missing is the coffee

and my communtiy MW is really good at being there for all my silly panics/questions, despite being busy

my appt is at 11ish as at clinic, so depends how they are getting on

Oooo so hope babys engaged!!! Have you got a sweep planned for tomorrow or are they making you wait until after 40 weeks? I went for loads of walks and baby dropped down really well (although you cant see it in my bump lol...it just stays up!). Fingers crossed for a good appointment tomorrow :D x

no mention of a sweep...Im gonna request one tho! Thing is theyre so rushed in the clinic theres never any time for chit chat. Noones discussed my birth plan with me either, feels like everytime I go I see someone different. Its just in the door, gimme your pee pot, blood pressure, jump on the bed, measure bump see if its engaged, listen to heartbeat byeeeeeee

Think thats why I get away with putting my foot down about stuff cos they havent the time to argue with me

Its a bit shocking sometimes isn't it. Ive had the same midwife since I moved to a new surgery, But Ive got the induction on Wednesday and NOBODY has told me what to expect. I havn't even had any leaflets! Ive had to get any info I want off the nhs site, and all that says is 'your health professional will discuss this with you before hand'......ummm, dont think so.

that's really bad melio!

shocking eh?! Imagine what people who dont have PF must be going through. Ive learned everything I know from here, and 2 books!

I try not to expect too much from the nhs...Im just glad its free to be honest lol

yeah me too, I believe in looking after myself, educating myself and making sure Im in charge of decisions made about my health and my body! But its scary how many people do totally just depend on health care professionals, "they know best" attitiude prevails, and Im sure they do, but they havent got the time to stop and consider it really, and even when they do, their hands are tied by policy anyway.

I was really shocked by some of the questions that were being asked in my NHS antenatal classes, some people did not have a clue about stuff that I thought/assumed was fairly simple/obvious stuff... but probably stuff that I had picked up from here or my pregnancy bible...

it was when I was only just 30 weeks, they were all ready to pop

I cant understand how you would NOT feel the need to learn this stuff!

My MW hasnt mentioned a birthplan to me once - nothing - its rather annoying really, surely its part of their job?

Tiny I am having a sweep tomorrow, then another on Thursday - if my cervix isnt down a bit more Im gonna reach up and pull the thing South!
