mucus plug????? tmi lol

hi girls, when i went to bed last night i was havin braxton hicks for an hour or so, went to loo this morning and wiped and had a lump of clear jelly stuff, not very big, about as big as little finger nail. no blood streaks or anything in it. had lower back ache all day.do you think it could be the start of my plug coming away? or would it be too early?

I had my baby at 37+2, so no, it's not too early. I began to lose it on Thursday and the baby was born the following Tuesday. Mine was also egg whitey and slimy with no blood, I didn't lose that bit till I was in labour.

Sounds like you have started losing your plug. It can start and replenish....or it can be a sign that labour is coming.

ive got permanent lower back ache, even fell asleep on the bed for an hour to try to get rid of it, woke up and its still here, feel like someone has kicked me in the back. dull aching that wont go away I wouldnt mind if it was something but its just constant, no worse, no better

Lower backache was the first sign I was in labour with my son. Did not have labour signs and symptoms. Just started in my back and progressed from there

just cannot shake this back ache, period pain type thing. feeling a lot of pressure down there too. just wish it would turn into labour or just bloody stop. Its annoying me now lol.

I've been getting lower back pain and period like pain all day today so fingers crossed something is happening for me too.

sounds to me like it's your mucas plug coming away. I havent had mine yet but last night I had terrible period type pains, dull ache in my lower back ect and actually woke up moaning in pain and though oh this could be it but went back to sleep as the pains were not intense enough for me to panic. Got up then this morning about 10.30 and all had quietened down again. I've been having strong labour contractions for about 2 weeks now and nothing. Could just be your body getting ready but hey I hope it's the start of the real thing for you as you're a week ahead of me and i'm sick of being pregnant.
