Hi ladies
I've been feeling intermittent wriggles from my little bunny since about week 16 (quite unexpected as it's my first and I have an anterior placenta, so I figured I'd be waiting til 20+). I know it will take quite a while for the movements to be more regular and develop a pattern, but I'm not sure when to expect that they'll be strong enough for OH to be able to feel them too.
I know the answer will be that it varies from person to person, and pregnancy to pregnancy, but I'm curious to get an idea of the range - would anyone like to share their experiences?
Thanks

I have an anterior placenta too. I started feeling kicks around 18 weeks and filmed kicks on the outside at 20+1. This is my second pregnancy though.

In my first I felt kicks from around 16 weeks and my husband could have felt them from 20 but never kept his hand there long enough. It was 24 weeks when he finally did.

This time I’m not even going to bother asking him to try until 24 weeks.

I've had anterior placentas with both my pregnancies

1st I felt movement at 21/22 weeks, from the outside from 25 weeks and husband felt it at about 28 weeks

2nd pregnancy I felt movement way earlier then expected at 13 weeks, from the outside from about 19 but husband didn't feel it until 24, although he wasn't really trying to feel it either

With both my pregnancies I felt movements from around the 17 week mark.

I think when I got to about 24 weeks they were strong enough to see from the outside. I’ve had each position of placenta, and tbh in both you could really see my whole stomach moving from side to side and up and down at heightened movements.

I didn't have anterior placenta but didn't feel anything until 18 weeks and didn't even get my bump until 20 weeks. Hubby never really managed to feel the kicks at all but I think it's cos his hand calmed the baby. There was a point around 30ish weeks where I was lying on my side and we saw the baby wriggling and kicking and it was amazing. Thankfully he saw that since he didn't feel it

I have an anterior placenta, I’m 15 weeks and get the odd little knock but it’s very low down, this is my 5th baby and first anterior placenta , it sucks as normally I feel movements super early .

Thanks ladies for sharing, really interesting how variable it is

My kicks are getting stronger - am pretty sure OH will be able to feel them on the outside now or v soon. They're just a little too infrequent at the mo and like your OH, CG, he is not the patient type so don't think he would sit with hand on my belly waiting all night

Blank page, that's really sweet that his hand calmed baby

LauraJane, congrats on number 5. I'm part of a big family, and really love it.
