probably a post started a million times already but still ... who's got it and has anyone got a solution? i had it with DS the whole pregnancy but my last employers where so sympathetic .. I'm thinking my new ones will not be the same and i need to try and control it as much as i can.
I tried ginger last time .. eating little but often etc but nothing worked near the end the midwife suggested ranitidine but not something I want to take at this stage. I'm only 6 weeks but had a bad day today which is why i want to find a solution before it gets really bad.

any advice would be appreciated xx

My midwife said that it can help to have a cracker / plain biscuit / toast before you get out of bed in the morning and get out of bed slowly. It does work for me but I'm also just starting to get nauseous in the mornings so it's not that severe yet.
I also feel it makes it worse if I drink water. So maybe try flat ginger ale or flat lemonade?

I tried to force myself to eat plain toast the other day but i actually ate a bowl of cereal with no problem but still have the feeling of nausea somehow. it's like acid sitting in my stomach .. I'm the same with water. I don't know what I'll do i ordered those anti sickness bands tonight to try. it's smells too make me feel awful c

I read that it's either ginger or mint which tends to help, it's ginger for me but perhaps if that's not working for you mint would be better? And I find the travel sickness bands really help xx

Oh and I find fresh lemon really helps xx

Nothing helped me except zofran, which I had to go on at 12ish weeks because I had used all my sick leave and was going to be fired for taking too much unpaid leave. If your employers are unsympathetic too I’d suggest you chat with your gp x

I told work just before 8 weeks because by then it was horrific. It peaks at 8-10 weeks. Honestly, the sooner you tell work the better. x

Sorry to say but it will get worse before it gets better! Your hormone levels keep rising until your placenta starts helping out at about 10 weeks. I hope it doesn’t get too bad. Are you vomiting yet?

no i have a feeling this will be the same as my son's pregnancy ... 8 months of nausea. I don't think I was sick once with him but felt it the whole time and this just feels the same. I'm praying it will slow down at 12 weeks this time and ill somehow manage to make it till then in work  xx

I’m only 6 weeks on Monday and it’s started for me already.
My last two pregnancy’s ended in MC and I didn’t get it this early so I’m hoping it’s a good sign!
But since yesterday Ive felt sick allllll day. Even felt sick all night. Again this morning and I’m in work till 6pm...I just want my bed!

Ah I know the feeling. I had constant nausea from before I even got a positive until 16 weeks, but I started vomiting all the time at 8 weeks which is why I went on the zofran. I can’t imagine feeling like that for the entire pregnancy. Hopefully it isn’t so bad and all goes away for you this time! x

No, throwing up never made the nausea back off. You’d think it would like when you’re hungover, but nope. I guess since you can’t throw up the thing making you sick in pregnancy! I’d throw up and have maybe 2mins of feeling ok before feeling like I was going to throw up again... good thing babies are worth it!

I'm now 9 weeks and some days and the nausea is just constant and making me crazy and so tired. I haven't eaten meat in about a month and really no food sounds good at all. I force myself to eat and have lost weight but can't seem to eat. It's quite miserable, and without a bump it's hard to remember at times that it's all worth it. All of the usual solutions like dry toast, crackers and ginger ale also make me want to be sick. It's like the beginning of the stomach flu! I haven't thrown up yet, but have been close many times. Kind of forced myself to get a grip (I hate throwing up).

Anyone have any ideas?! When will this lessen? I'm getting desperate.
