So Paige now refuses to go to sleep in her room as she says she is scared of the monsters, Jake has also decided whenever we put him to bed to also scream the house down. Any tips would be welcome xx:wall2:

Lacey went through this phase. I used to tell her why would there be monsters when daddy would just scare them away!

I used to be scared of the monsters, I thought there would come out of the shadows lol My mum would just leave the hall light on with the door open about 1/2 way so if I saw the light I felt safer. I didn't start sleeping in the complete dark til I was about 7 lol She would always settle me in bed first too, with a story, before she left me alone in the room so I felt safer I guess.

We leave Paiges room light on and the door open as she refuses to let us do otherwise, at moment we have resulted in waiting till they fall asleep downstairs then put them to bed but i know this isnt the best solution...

I love the idea of it too! I did think at first that it was a bit like saying that there were monsters, but I guess you can still say that there aren't any and the spray will make sure that they can't come in because they are scared of the smell

I suppose if you try to tell them there arent any then they might feel like they are been ridiculed and i dont suppose thats good for their self esteem. Hubby thinks its an excuse so she doesnt have to go to bed but she does mention them when she isnt in there so im not so sure x

I was going to say exactly what sams mum said. If this happens with my Paige when she's older I'm going to make a little rhyme and then get her to sprinkle glitter and stars to get rid of the monsters. I'm kind of hoping she does says about monsters purely so we can throw glitter together

lol, big kid at heart! xx

One of my friends bought a big dragon and put it under her little girls bed, she said to her that if the monsters came the dragon would eat them and that he only eats monsters not little children :)

I think this is a fabulous idea :)
