I'm just back from the supermarket and I went to the fish counter as I thought I would make fish pie for me and Arianna's dinner.

Well I asked for a bit of monkfish and the lady serving said towards Arianna "oh is Mummy having a treat tonight" and I replied "oh, we are going home to make some fish pie"

Well the lady was horrified that I was giving a LO Monkfish saying she would never give it to an under 5yr old at least.

Is there any reason??? I mean there is hardly any Monkfish in my pies as it is quite expensive... it mainly has just the haddock and salmon in it.
Arianna has had it before and never had any problems with it

What a silly lady! There's nothing wrong with monkfish, the only fish to avoid is shark, swordfish and marlin cos of the mercury content. You should be praised for cooking decent food, so many don't bother!
