do I need a baby monitor from birth or is this something i can buy later on? xxx

I won't be getting one at all but then I live in a 2 bed flat so I will be able to hear baby from any room x

im in a 2 bed flat too so maybe i wont bother either then :) tryna figure out what i need to buy and its scaring me! xxx

Tell me about it! I was saying to my mum the other day I need to get a bath thermometer and she said "WHAT?! What do you think your elbow is for?!" lol x

LOL! Yes, I've always used my elbow for checking bath water temp. It's by far the most reliable.

If baby is going to be sleeping in the same room as you to start with, you probably won't need a monitor - unless you're likely to be quite a distance from them in the evenings (and they're sleeping, which they possibly won't be!). We were in a 2-bed house and could easily hear our LO from the living room downstairs. I only use the monitor when I'm out of earshot, which even in our new house isn't until I get into the garden.

I have decided to wait until the baby moves into its own room.. We will have the baby with us for the first few months so there is no need.

X

thanks, yep i think I will definately hold off and just get one if I feel we need it later on, thats one thing off the shopping list then :p xxx
