money saving ideas and products ?

after lisa post about cornflour and another about vinigar whats your money saving products ? what products do u buy value brand and are no diff or what branded cant u live without ?

groceries or baby stuff ? or bills even !

I buy some value stuff like bin bags, loo roll, kitchen foil etc the only branded stuff I have to have is cereal as I hate the taste of cheap brekkie cereal, oh and coffee. I won't shop anywhere but tesco tho

other money saving things we've had done, water meter, saves us £350 a year on water, checking u switch for cheapest energy provider ( I know I work for npower)

I use washable baby wipes on Harrison (not for the pooey ones tho) & reusuable nappies. User carrier bags in bins, make sure got full loads of washing etc.

I can't scrimp on toilet roll...it has to be soft for my delicate area. I'm a bit obsessed about buying the double quilted stuff and I also spend money on moist toilet paper too.

I also have to have proper cereals because I hate the taste of cheap ones. I tend to spend a bit more on washing powder cos I buy the eco friendly stuff...and my toothpaste has to be a proper brand too.

other than those four things..everything else can be cheap brand
