Basically I've been on contract in this country as long as I can remember. I was with virgin media first but aside from being 'value for money' they're garbage and I ended up paying more and more for a service I didn't receive frustrating to say the least. Now gone to 3 and my contract is running out, quite p**d off by the fact they had the cheek to restrict my services literally a couple of hours after giving birth whilst I phoned them up to have my cap removed I was fumin and have been ever since, the signal in my house and my 3g signal has been p*** poor for ages anyway so time for a change to play safe and check whether the signal ect is all to my likings and me owning my iphone at the minute with no urgent need for a new headset there's time to stretch and find the right carrier. But oh my, when you don't have minutes in a package deal for 24£ a month 30p a minute and 14p per text seems incredibly expensive! I don't know if it may be worth to do a sim only that can be stopped every month rather than 12-24 but I really really don't know. I do have a landline but most of the times I do not own a housephone. I phone abroad via just-call and I send heeps of whatsapp's and use my google chrome as a second browser, my iphone is my mini touch pc and I even use most of this when i'm even out walking my dog. I eat DATA therefor I think an international plan isn't too suitable because it brings texting and data sky high :wall2: Mobile networks do really hate me because it's dead hard to find a plan. I text my OH and spent an awful lot of calls being on the phone for 5 secs ordering a taxi and if I do make long phonecalls it usually is 08 I'm sooo confoezeed! Help me find my right carrier share your experiences with the UK carriers what are the pro's and cons to each thank you very much!!!

I'm with tmobile and don't have a complaint about them. My network coverage is good and I get 3G most of the time - they even do a coverage checker on their website so you can see what it's like in the places you visit.

Also I'm the same with data and their unlimited plan is completely and utterly unlimited (no fair usage!) which my OH loves coz he can watch sky sports on the go on my phone coz his data is capped and his coverage is poor (he's with O2).

I'd be reluctant to go to O2 for that reason and also because of the network outages they experienced several times last year.

Tmobile customer service is generally very good - I tend to tweet them and they'll tell me what I need to do.

I've also heard 3network is good but I've never used it

aw thanks :)
I'm currently with 3 and as the prices are quite good my signal is poor as! :( I had to cancel my direct debit because of maternity allowance being paid every fortnight instead of monthly they cut me off when I was giving birth i'm still annoyed about it! I'll have a look at t-mobile, why are you going o2 if I may ask?

Sorry, I'm not going to O2. My OH is with them because the company he works for has dealings with them and he gets 30% off. I'll be staying tmobile xx
