I haven't had a very good day today. Work has been quiet this week which makes the days drag and it seems like it should have been Friday ages ago! :(

When I got to the office today I had another blackout. Same as before, heart beating fast, heavy feeling in my body, nausea, couldn't see then also my hearing went  Luckily I was in the lift with a lady from my floor and, after propping me up against the wall, she ran to get me a chair and a glass of water. About 5 mins later I felt ok to walk to my desk and just sit a while. I felt ok later but am still a bit puzzled as to what happened. Maybe I was walking too fast or something?

Tonight, OH snapped at me over nothing, and it's really upset me. PLUS bloomin football on the TV again :|

I think I need an early night :( Just want this week to go quickly. I've got a scan on Friday. :cheer:

Oh hope you're ok mate. think you need to have another chat with Doctor!!!!!

and we've got the footie on tonite as well!!!!!!!!

Bath and bed for you girl tomorrow will be a better day yes footie on here too bag of shit does my head in, i think you may have low blood pressure?? you should have gone home after funny turn!! I'd have a chat with MW hope you feel better soon

oh and just tell your hubby to piss off always makes me feel better :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi,

Get to your mw or gp. It's not normal to keep blacking out.

I had a bit of a faint spell when I was around the same stage as you. Only fainted once, but felt faint a lot of the time, especially when just standing still - that's what you would have been doing in the lift??

Go and get checked out. I think mine was due to low blood pressure, which actually hasn't got any higher now, but not getting faint feelings much at all now.

HTH

Thanks Tuck + Rach

Sometimes the football really gets on my nerves. It's like it's on EVERY night lately.

Mind you having a teenage football crazy son and an OH who's also football mad doesn't help. Then there's my Dad who is also here to watch every match which is on Sky - coz he hasn't got it! :x

And..... I'm having another boy!! :wall: I must be crazy!

Thanks Heather. I had a blood test after the first blackouts 2 weeks ago. Turned out I was anaemic and had low blood sugar. I'm now on iron tablets. Got another blood test Friday to check how the anaemia is responding to the tablets.

Low blood pressure is an interesting one.... I had very high BP with my first and pre-eclampsia from 31 weeks! Confusing stuff.

Don't get to see the MW much as she's always on holiday when it's my week for an appt. But got to see the Consultant next week and will definitely mention all this to him. :)

Yes I was in the lift but had just arrived at work after rushing along for 10 mins from the station.

 Thanks again x

lord. i missed this.

im sorry your not feeling too well.

i would have been inclined to say it was something to do with your blood pressure.

good luck getting it sorted.

Hi Sabrina - can't believe this has happened again. I hope you didn't stay at work for the rest of the day? Hopefully you'll manage to get it controlled soon & maybe you need to start to slow down a bit? Hope you get your own back on OH too coz he should be supporting you (not his football) just now.

Take care of yourself xx

I havnt seen this until now. Sorry you have been feeling like this. You should have gone home and put your feet up! Hope you are feeling better soon

Thanks ladies :)

I went to bed early but didn't sleep too good. I have back ache this morning :( I'll be going into work late and taking it much slower today.
Got to make sure I remember my glucoze sweets "just in case". I'm glad it's my last day at work this week.

OH slept downstairs last night to give me the chance for some rest. He did apologise to me for being snappy. :| He's doing his best, trying hard, working 7 days a week lately. I suppose he's also tired out

Scan tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some good news to post for a change. :D

I don't know much about work law, but it doesn't sound very safe you blacking out at work, have you looked into getting leave early, or at least a break, while you regain your normal composure (whatever that is while pregnant)?

It certainly doesn't sound good, are you having a high enough dose of iron? And have you been referred to see a dietician, that may help? And get lots of fresh orange juice too, essential for good iron absorption.

Really sorry about your snappy OH, it's a shame life goes on so normally sometimes while pregnant, our OH's etc should feel what we feel then maybe they'd not be so normal while we have all our little aches and feelings. I'm sure he just wasn't thinking, and I do hope you talk to him about it, mostly always helps to make others aware of how they make us feel

Very best wishes with your scan tomz, so exciting :cheer: Look forward to hearing all about it, in the meantime, take it easy, smile too, your a blooming pregnant lady and the world needs to be reminded of that :D

Hi Sabrina,

So sorry hon - I've just seen this - I'm really sorry you had another bad turn, you are certainly not having an easy pregnancy.

Make sure you don't over-exert yourself, I am worried about you working so hard - would it be an option to take some time off?

I hope you manage to have a good chat with your midwife or obstetrician tomorrow about your funny turns and how you've been feeling and good luck with the scan - we want to see pics!

Love

Thanks again  Redshoes and Valentine

I'm at work now. Had a very minor dizzy spell at the station which passed quickly when I sat down and had a glucoze sweet.

Good news is my boss has agreed I can work 2 days a week at home till my mat leave. :cheer: This is great as it means I can only work 1 or 2 days in a row then have a bit of a rest. After I told him how I'd been feeling I think he realised I could actually be off sick instead so this is a fair compromise.

I love my OH very much but I do wish we could trade places at times so he can feel what it's like to be pregnant

Hey Sabrina, sorry i've only just seen this, i hope your feeling better today and your not working yourself too hard, it has been a trying pregnancy for you :(

Great news on the work front Sabrina, so glad you get to work at home, and have rests in between, very best wishes

oh dear, i would tell your doctor or mw for sure. Its prob to do with the blood pumping faster as you can get quite dizzy.
Try take it easy & give the DH what for!

Hi Sabrina

Really sorry you've been feeling rubbish - how did your scan go?

Good news re. work - working from home occasionally has really helped me as I haven't had to get up so early and trek 30 miles down the motorway.

I know what you mean re. your OH as well - it's so frustrating that they have no idea what you're going through and there is no way they could understand. I know that my DH would trade places with me if he could bless him.

Anyway I hope your bloods go OK and that you're feeling better soon

LBxx

Just wanted to say thanks for your posts and to give a quick update. Really tired tonight so off to bed soon.

The scan went well. Baby was too big to see all at once on the screen! Apparently he's about 2lbs now. All growing at a normal rate and everything fine. The placenta is high and baby is now head down with his spine along my left side. The sonographer gave us 3 photos for nothing which was really nice of her. I'll try to scan these on next week. Although they are only head/shoulders shots they are quite clear.

I went to have my blood taken afterwards. The results will be through Wednesday or Thursday. I have to ring my surgery to find out the results.

I didn't get to see a MW today but spoke briefly to the sonographer who said I'd best mention all the dizzy spells and other concerns to the Consultant next week.

I'm planning an easy weekend with no exertion. Hoping the reduced travelling and working from home will help from next week.

Thanks again for all your kind thoughts and support.
