Paracetamol is absolutely fine and won't harm the baby. Don't suffer I take two at a time because I'm feeling so rough!

Paracetamol is definitely fine.

I was prescribed cocodamol when I was pregnant before for sciatica xx

Please don't suffer. I took paracetamol for headaches, migraines, SPD, wisdom tooth infection, sciatica and sinus pain in my last pregnancy, all in all there weren't many days I didn't take it! She's 3 now, total loon but I don't blame the paracetamol! ;-) X

I've really suffered with headaches so far, particularly over the last couple of weeks. I resorted to paracetamol to get some relief. Midwife said it was ok to take cocodomal if they got really bad, but I've managed so far with paracetamol and increasing water intake

I replied to another thread about headaches and migraines in tri 2 the other day but same advice would be paracetamol is absolutely fine - recommended dosage of two 500mg tablets every 4 hours (or less as needed) isn't going to hurt your squish! I feel bad about taking them for my sciatic / pelvic pain, and even had to take one co codamol the other night and felt guilty, but if we need to, we need to. It's not going to hurt them according to the research :)

I found that cooling head strips and ice on the back of the neck worked amazing though - both for my hormone pregnancy headaches and the migraines I used to get before I got pregnant. They've been dubbed the "sexy head strips" in our house because of how ridiculous they look but they're so helpful. Basically just menthol. You can get them from Boots, Amazon or larger supermarkets.

Sorry to hear you're suffering, hopefully it goes away as you progress x

I suffer with very bad headaches and occasional migraines and you must take something; they are awful!! I find the 4head rub takes the edge off along with paracetamol. X

I suffered with headaches since expecting, they were a killer. The pain was very awful. I was advised by a doctor that I cannot take any painkillers stronger than paracetamol because I was pregnant at that time. Have you tried a cold cloth across your head?

I've been suffering migraines this pregnancy up until about 5 months and then they just stopped. I was prescribed co-codamol 30/500 which is the higher dose they can prescribe. It made me feel very odd and I couldn't tolerate the two tablets they suggested and had to take them one at a time or I would be sick. Could only take them when I was going to bed as I couldn't look after my two toddlers and go through how spaced out they made me. I was also referred for holistic therapy clinic which was basically the NHS giving you a massage to relieve tension. If you can afford to see a chiropractor or get a massage regularly then I think that really helps. I'd never had migraines before and straight paracetamol didn't solve them. But as I said they just stopped after a particularly bad two day one and I've been fine since x
