* Midwife *

I moved house recently and had to change my doctors so ive only just arranged to see a midwife this Friday...
Havent seen one before now, just had my 12 (16) week scan and my 20 week one...

Though i dont really know what im going for? May sound stupid.
What happened when you went to see a midwife for the first time?

Any help would be appreciated

Hmm she'll book you in if you've not seen a MW as yet.

That means paperwork, asking some medical history questions, nothing major.

Also blood test (though it may be too late for some of the blood tests they run, I'd ask and see), dip your urine (take a sample if you can, if not ask for a sample bottle when you get there and go pee in it), take BP, weigh you, chat a bit and ask you where you hope to give birth (you have a choice, you don't have to take the nearest hospital or anything like that) and probably measure your fundal height and maybe listen to LO's heartbeat.

Should i take my hospital notes with me?

Yes. She'll also probably give you a booklet with her notes from any appointments in also. Need to cart that with you when you go to hospital etc also.
