Midwife today - a bit unsure...

So I had my 34 week check today, all is ok and I told the midwife that I had a few pains the other day, low achy pains/period type and she had a good feel of the baby and said he was already 2/5ths engaged! Has anyone else had a baby that is this low down at not quite 34 weeks? Midwife didnt seem bothered either way and said the lower the better! Just slightly paranoid about an early arrival as my husband is in the army and away for quite a lot of the time up to about 38 weeks!
On another note, does anyone else ever get the impression that their midwife is in a hurry to get rid of you?! I have never spent more than 10mins in an appointment even if I have got questions!

I had my 34 week appt on thursday and baby is 3/5 engaged ! My mw seemed a bit shocked! She didn't really say anything though.
My mw seems to take her time and always listens and insists on checking whether I have any questions, I was with her for 20 minutes the other day x x

That does seem early but I dont really know what's normal I have my 36 wk mw appt on tues and I hope to hear mine is like urs! Being the right way round is a very good start xx

Thanks ladies - Mrs CW thats impressive! Fx Pos that your the same! Quite jealous to hear that your midwife has time for you, I went to their drop in clinic today and there wasnt even anyone else there or waiting and she still couldn't get rid of me quick enough! Was a bit pissed off as I have been pretty eaasy all the way through and not taken up any of her time but she hasn't even talked about the birth with me! When I started asking her questions today she kept saying that all the information was in my folder and I should read it!!! Silly woman, never mind - thats what you ladies are for!

Mine are the same, there a three different ones so i always seem to get a different midwife on each appointment, one of them said to me "oh long time no see, are we onto your second one now" i said no still the first, only saw you 8 weeks ago. Then she couldnt wait to get rid of me. I found all three the same. I took my mum to my last one as oh couldnt get out of work, The midwife said we need to see you at 32 weeks but the date she came up with made me nearly 35 weeks so my mum was raging and told her it should be earlier. She was then determined not to leave without asking midwife every question she could think off. My mums determined she s coming to next appointment with me as she says i am too soft and wont speak up.
Good old mums eh............... embarrasing but it will defo be me in 20 years. lol : )

I was 4/5th at 32 and 34weeks and 3/5th at 36 weeks. He still feels really high up his bum is constantly in my ribs.

My new mw has loadsa time for me. I spent half hour in there last time

My midwife seems to ask questions and then not really listen to the answer! Do you know what i mean - is everything ok and when i start telling her she is just like yeh yeh while writing in my notes about blood pressure or whatever .. she is really nice tho! x
