Midwife appointment

Hi ladies!
I got letters today with dates for my midwife appt and scan, both on diff days. It says my midwife appt will last an hour and I'm wondering what it involves to take so long. Also should I take DH to that or just to the scan? He'd have to take time off work for both and doesn't mind but what's the normal thing to do? He def wants to come to the scan.
Wow I'm feeling so excited- it's really starting to sink in now!

Hey, don't bother taking OH to midwife appointment, it is so boring!! Just form filling in, a bit of advice(diet etc), check medical history, blood test, weight, urine sample etc. Defo take him to the scan, he will not want to miss that, it is amazing! x

Midwife is just going over family history
Filling paperwork in
A million leaflets
Urine sample
Take blood
Check weight height blood pressure
Test CO2 levels
Just generally getting info on you and giving you info x

Yep def agree with the above, mw appt not necessary for oh to be there but dont let him miss the scan! X

My partner didn't come to the midwife appointment with me and I doubt he'll come to any at the GP surgery until I'm very far gone and need help haha! He did come to the scan with me though Just ask your partner if there is anything medical wise on his side of the family that he thinks the midwife might need to know!

Mines only took half an hour, a lot of box ticking, urine and bloods. I'm, glad I didn't make my OH go with me he would have been bored.

My husband was home when the midwife did ou booking in because we were leaving for a mini break just afterwards. If he'd been working he'd not have bothered being home because they only asked him a couple of things that i could have answered xx
