I usually have my appointment at my GP up the road but they were full for friday so told me to attend the midwife drop in between 0130 & 0330pm today. Its at a primary school hall of which I had no idea where it was or how hard the walk would be (spd) so I got a taxi up as i dont drive and OH works in grimsby so not around.

I get there and the doors are locked. I had a walk around to see if theres another entrance, came back, tried again and still locked. The only people there were garden maintenance who must have thought I was crazy because I just burst into tears (really beginning to hate pregnancy! Im grateful for my baby but im so sick of this now!) Ive just walked/waddled home because I really didnt want to pay another taxi fare and it was mostly downhill home.

They didnt think to tell me that the centre is closed during holidays. They suggested I went to another unit and I very nearly lost my shit...they're going to squeeze me in at the end of the day on friday instead now.

Unimpressed is an understatement.

Grrr what a p***take!

I'm peed off with mine too, she has gone on holiday leaving no cover, but didn't tell me or the GPs office - so when I tried to book in for my 41 week appointment nobody could tell me where to go or who I'll see!?!

I was hoping for another sweep but now don't know if I'll even see anyone! Lol!

You should give them what for - nobody should mess with a pregnant woman!!!! Xx

Hope you're ok bud? What a bunch of nobs!! I think I'd probably have burst into tears too. Sorry you've had a shit day. Some people are beyond incompetent. xxx

I'd be pretty frustrated too hun. Glad thy managed to fit you in Friday....if only they'd paid you that courtesy in the first place!!

I have to get through to them first, the desk at my gp closes at half 10 or something ridiculous like that.

The midwife that made the bogus appointment also had me sitting around for nearly an hour at my last appointment because she hadnt got to grips with the new digital system.
I really cant stand incompetence when it gets in the way of my day....

I'd be phoning my midwife on her mobile number and telling her to sort it out lol! Hope your day gets better xx

I'd be phoning the community midwife number too. What a joke x

I would be banging down the door! That's not on, I swear everyone should wear a full term dummy belly and pull there legs as far apart as possible to see how it feels just for us to walk around the house let allow around the streets!

Xx
