middle names

hi all

just wanted your opinion on using the same middle name for more than one sibling. my 15 month old is called Oscar Daniel Michael Handley (Daniel is daddy's name, and Michael is Grandad's name)

If we ever have a girl we are planning to do the same i.e my name then my mums name for middle names, but alas we are having another boy!

typical that we have lots of girls names we like but only a couple of boys names, so was considering using Daniel as a middle name again. but i wasn't sure if this would be frowned upon. We have considered all the male names in both our families and wouldn't want to use any of them for our little boy. Not that they are bad names or anything, just we don't want to use them.

the three first names we like for a boy are Felix, Luca and George.

Any opinions would be welcome

I personally wouldn't use the same middle name for siblings. I don't really know why though! Lol x it just seems weird to me!

I agree, doesnt seem right but for no particular reason. Maybe pick a middle name that isnt in either family or from your 3 names using one as first & one as a middle name

thanks girls, thats what we thought but just wanted opinion. So we are pretty sure we are settling for the name Felix George.

My Nephews are called Harvey Lee & Louie Lee, the couldn't think of another middle name they liked so used Lee for both boys. I don't see a problem with it personally. It's just a middle name and a lot less confusing than Father & Son sharing the same 1st name! x

I dont see the problem as using same middle name, actually think it's quite nice especially if it has a meaning within your family.x

I wouldn't myself , when I had my second boy, we had Toby as boys name and Robyn as our girls name, so when he came out a boy, we called him Toby Robin. Then I went on to have my girl after , and didn't feel I could use the name again in the girls spelling as that was very much now his... and suited him...
