Meeting at work - did you take your baby with you??

Not sure where to post this!

I have a meeting next week with my work to discuss the flexible working agreement I have proposed. I don't think it's appropriate for me to take Olivia to the meeting but considering I'm on maternity leave I'm not sure how they expect me to get childcare during the day? DH might have to use a days holiday if he can't arrange to work from home one day.

Just wondering what you did? Did you just arrange someone to watch your baby so you went in alone or did you take the baby with you?

I haven't even been asked to go in!! They will just sort it out when I go back to work I assume. But I would take Rubie with me if I did have to go in

i took Braydon with me but then again i was meeting mum from work and my boss asked me wot i wanted to work while i was there lol
take her ur still on mat leave

i took Harley with me i still have a few bits to deal with now and then, every one pinches Harley off me and i catch up on the important bits. but i think they will expect it. or just give them a ring say you cant get childcare is it a problem if LO is with you

where do you work hun? I work in a pub and its all very relaxed I would take Ella with me. Im sure they wouldn't mind, you are on maternity leave after all, maybe give them a call and ask them?

I would take her with you but if you are concerned a maybe ring them & ask before hand, it doesn't seem fair for your DH to take a days holiday.

I cant see why it should be a problem, and they would probably be plesed to see olivia .

I would take mine. I do work in a nursery though lol

I didnt take Charlie, but then again it is a secure hospital, never want her near the place!!!!
Remember Lucy they have to flexible with you WITHIN REASON, so ask for the rediculous and then negotiate from there, lol!
Il bet the staff will love to meet Olivia, and she'd love it too.

he he you make me laugh you'r so crafty! - wouldnt want to argue with you over flexi hours!

i took alex but i work for a small firm and there were plenty of peeps wanting a cuddle! one boss even held alex while we chatted about my hours!

Hi everyone

thanks for all your replies, must admit I was expecting more people to say that they didn't take their LO with them! Knowing my boss, he would probably frown at me taking Olivia to the meeting. The building where I work is all IT so all the programmers are very quiet - it's not like theres phones ringing all the time etc.

I did take Olivia in to meet some of the nice people I work with but there's 700 people there so only stayed a wee while talking to the people I knew would be pleased to see her!

Urchin - love your tactics! sneaky!

Hels - you're right and I have asked for something they wont agree to but hopefully they will let me go part -time.

I'm so nervous! Just want to be the other side of the meeting now, and know if I have a job or not!
