Hello all,
I'm 28 weeks, and finally saw the midwife today for the first time since 16 weeks (baby no.2) and as expected, I am measuring ahead. I measure 33 weeks, so 5 weeks ahead. I know that fundal heights are notoriously unreliable, and depend on the measurer, but I am confident that she is correct, ans that baby is big, as movements feel huge , and my bump is very stretched and tight. My daughter was 9lbs, so a bigger than average baby seems likely, but try as I might, I can't help be a little worried- my first labour was difficult, and the consultant noted that my pelvis is small (I'm not a skinny girl, but am only 5'2").
I'm being referred for an urgen GTT, and will see the midwife more often now, to be monitored for size, but she said little would be done, other than that.
My daughter was born with forceps in theatre, after becoming stuck, and distressed, and I suffered a haemorrhage, so I was a bit anxious anyway!
Not sure what advise I am after, but it's nice to vent, as my midwife is very blase about it all.
