***** May 2019 Mummies *****

I am hoping I can last up to 2 weeks before due date then use my annual leave and then go into my mat leave.

Congrats floridamom :) x

floridamum - added you on the list. Congratulations :D

Last pregnancy I was going to take a month of annual leave before my maternity started two weeks early leaving me with working until 34 weeks pregnant or so... I was signed off work with severe back pain at 25 weeks until my leave started! (I had to travel an hour in and an hour out every day on public transport). A friend of mine at work got pregnancy about 8 weeks after I did and worked until the Friday, gave birth on the Sunday! I sincerely admire any woman who works right up until their due date/birth, because I couldn't hack it lol

I'm finding it hard to sleep too, ABC. Either I can't fall asleep until about 1am, or I fall asleep for an hour and wake up unable to get back to sleep. It's awful considering my kiddo can be awake anything from 4am-7am this last week, and my patience has definitely suffered with lack of sleep, pregnancy hormones and my partner working longer shifts than usual this bank holiday weekend.

Aww bless ya babe!! Was the back pain because of the pregnancy? Thankfully I only travel about 10 mins each way and I have a desk job so all being well I would like to get as close as possible.

I have no symptoms apart from peeing a lot but I think that’s because I keep panicking that I have come on as I have af cramps and have for about a week now. It’s horrible on the brain.

I had back pain before the pregnancy which I think is my sciatic nerve, but it just got awful during the pregnancy, even during the beginning of the second tri! it definitely got better after labour, though I still have bad days.

I have no symptoms either. I had upset tummy the last week but I think that's because I've stopped taking the codeine I was on when I found out and it's my body adjusting to that. I guess not being able to sleep very well might be a pregnancy symptom, but other than nothing!
I had mild nausea with my first, but not really morning sickness, so hoping I get to escape that again this time.

Those spam threads are a pain! I kept refreshing my phone as I thought that had buggered up.

I hope you don’t suffer with it this time round - your back and morning sickness.

I go to the doctors tomorrow morning, I am dreading it as he was awful with me 3 years ago when I told him that we were going to start TTC. He just said youre to fat to try blah blah. I left crying and haven’t been back to him since.

Does anyone know when I can test to get the 2-3 on my Clearblue? X

Oh he sounds awful :( I know they have a duty to advise when it comes to pregnancy and weight but have some tact, jeez.

I got a 2-3 on clearblue on Friday (so about 14/15DPO) and it was still 2-3 yesterday at 19/20 DPO.
I read online though that if you consider 2-3 being 4-5 weeks pregnant, and 3+ being 6+ weeks pregnant, you should get it when you're within your 5 weeks pregnant week, although some women didn't until 6 weeks. Does that make sense?
I'm only just hitting 5 weeks today according to LMP so I got the 2-3 during my 4th week pregnant.

Give it a go. If it says 1-2 still, try again when you're in your 5th week :)

Yeh it’s going to be an interesting app although I have lost a stone and half recently :)

Oooo will try tomorrow morning :):)

Hope your appointment goes ok cockermum. It’s not fair for him to be like that with you.

I’ve been thinking about doing my last digi to get a 2-3 but I don’t want it to say 1-2 and be disappointed. And I don’t really want to spend too much more on tests, spend loads already.

I’ve been at work the past 2 days and am finding it hard not just to tell people, though logically I know it’s too soon! I’ve been feeling waves of nausea here and there, especially when I’m first waking up so hopefully that’s a sign things are ok.

Congratulations to the new people by the way.

I have 2 left so was hoping get the 2-3 and then 3+ lol! I am going to do it tomorrow which is 16dpo so I will let you know.

I haven’t told anyone at work, I have a stocktake to do with people in a couple of weeks so going to lie and say my back really hurts so I can literally only count and not move heavy shizz. I just don’t trust my current line manger not to say anything and I don’t want to jinx anything.

I am a little constipated today (sorry) but nothing else apart from tired but I am always tired because of my thyroid.

Can’t wait for my early scan. It seems so far away :(

I was like that last time, wanting to tell everyone who would listen. I told my mum before my OH when the test was positive as it was a surprise, but we told his parents after a scan at 10 weeks and then once they knew we posted it on facebook and told work people. I told work right away as I'm a police officer so wanted off operational duties!

This time we're telling the families when they're together for my DS's birthday on the 9th, and I'll only be 6+4! We have a scan booked for the day before so hopefully it'll all be well so we can tell them. Then I'm thinking of an announcement for friends in October, probably close to Halloween because it's my favourite time of year. I wonder if I can keep it a secret until then though!

Anyone else planning on spilling the beans early to anyone like me? :D

Already told parents and 2 close friends but won’t be telling anyone else until after the 12 week scan, announcement once rest of family and OH kids know.

I am looking at cute ways to do it for people :) you have any ideas? Especially around Halloween :)

I’m looking for autumn/Halloween inspired ideas and I think pinterest is probably the best source!

It never really occurred to me to do a themed or unusual announcement. I was thinking a photo of my 2 girls holding the scan photo would be ok (although my 1yo would probably just eat it!!).

I have told my sisters and 1 friend who I’ve gone through ttc with, when we both had issues.

I’m going to call GP for an appointment today. I was going to wait a week or so but I’ve been having shortness of breath. I am very very bloated so I’m not sure if that’s contributing to it. I’m guessing it’s not normal though?

I have found a Harry Potter one I would like to do :) for some reason it won’t let me upload a picture.

That will be cute abc, especially if your LO does chow down haha.

I would make a gp appointment about your shortness of breath but I think bloating is a symptom? Actually feel nausea today but that may be worry over the gp app.

Oh a Harry Potter one would be amazing!

I will make a GP appointment yes.

Good luck for yours, what time is it at? It it the same GP?

By the way, you inspired me to do my clearblue digi and it’s gone up to 2-3. Strangely pleased with that!!

I wish I could send it so you guys could see it, I love it!

Yeh it’s the nob head gp I see today, it’s at 0850 so just waiting around atm.

Awww I so forgot to do mine today! Will do it tomorrow morning :) but yeh!! Wish they had long life batteries or were solar panelled lol!

How did you appointment go, cockermum?

Does anyone else have anger/severe irritability at the moment? I’m Convinced it’s a pregnancy symptom/hormonal because it’s just completely irrational and hard to control. I’m just so angry and snappy all the time. :( it’s the only symptom I have apart from struggling to fall asleep at night.

I’d much rather have morning sickness than feel like this. I feel like a monster
