***** May 2019 Mummies *****

I don't think the excitement part has set in for me yet... Hoping the scan and telling people helps nudge me into it! It's hard when nobody by my OH knows :(

I am sure it will hun. Any preference of babies sex? X

Also, yes Christmas Eve!
So we've been well timed really. First pregnancy we found out on Christmas Eve was he was born in time for my mum's 50th birthday and our 2nd anniversary. This pregnancy is timed so that my mum finds out days before her 51st birthday as well. She's been a lucky duck! Going to have to think of a good present for next year because there's no way she's getting a third grandchild for her next birthday lol

I've always wanted a baby girl. We had the perfect girl name picked out last time (although we may have changed our mind this time) and I KNEW he was a boy. This time I'm leaning towards thinking it'll be a girl, but that may just be because I really want it to be!

How about you?

Awww great presents!!!! Haha maybe a nice piece of jewellery? Lol!

Nope I don’t mind the sex at all but I do want to find out as soon as possible lol!

Hey can I be added for 7th please. Got a really early positive this time on 22nd 7dpo so I have been a bit cautious! Although was due on yesterday and no period so am relaxing a bit now. Firstfreakout I was the same with my second he was not planned at all and I’m not exaggerating we did it one day that month on cd29 as if been I’ll with a sick bug a week before and I was so sure I’d ovulated! Obvs not !! So it took me a long time to come to terms with especially as Dd had only jus turned one!! I’m a bit nervous this time as I had awful hg with my dd. I didn’t get it with my son just normal ms so hoping it’s same this time don’t know ow I’d cope with hg and a two and 4 year old!! X

Added :)

Ah I'm glad I'm not the only one with this reaction, even though it was planned. We decided to try as my period finished and low and behold I was pregnant a few weeks later! We didn't even DTD when/after I got a positive opk! Super sperm meets super egg apparently for both of us. :eh:

Fingers crossed you don't have hg this time. It sounds horrendous :(

I totally get it and think it’s normal it’s a massive thing and I think when ur ttc it’s all you want then it happens and your like omg and then the freak out starts! I’m a bit like it with this one it was planned but only second month and feel guilty that I’m bringing another baby into the family like I don’t want to upset the other two. It’s stupid I know as they will love it but I guess it just change I can’t deal with very well! Are u finding out the sex? Think we r keeping it a surprise this time xx

Hi ladies congratulations to you all I got my bfp the weekend and doctor just confirmed I’m due the 4th may!!! Super excited as this is my 1st and was told it would be really unlikely for us to get pregnant naturally!!! Still in shock

Congrats lovely and welcome! Hope it all goes well for you! Are u finding out what ur having or keeping it as a surprise? First freak out I just saw ur other post and just wanted to share this with you. First pregnancy for me hg the whole way through induction at 37 weeks as I then developed oc so went yellow and itchy. Then after 5 day induction rushed to theatre for forceps or csection forceps did it but ended with a third degree tear took months to heal from it. My oc turned out to be a leak in my gallbladder to two months later was rushed into hospital with liver failure honestly it couldn’t have been any worse if I tired. Second labour waters went 6am went to hospital at 1pm he was born at 4pm in the water no tear and went home 4 hours later. So I really totally understand how hard it is when you have had birth trauma but I wish looking back I had dealt with it before he was born as it tainted what was actually a really lovely birth xx

I know what you mean about it being a surprise even though it was planned!

I’ve been looking at when I would finish work already, even though it is ages away! Getting ahead of myself a bit!

I’m not bothered either way for gender. I have 2 girls already so know a girl would be easier. On the other hand, I know my hubby would like a boy. I will definitely have to find out!!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and to reply. <3
That experience sounds heartbreaking. Mine wasn't as awful as that but it definitely affected my ability to bond with my son to begin with, missing those two weeks of holding and feeding him properly. I'm so glad you had a better second labour; that sounds amazing!

I had some counselling over the winter period for the birth trauma and ptsd because I was so angry about it all, and I think I've moved passed the anger stage now, but I'm just absolutely terrified of it happening again and leaving my children behind. I guess that's probably a normal fear for most mothers, just a bit amplified by the previous experience.

But yes, as we have a son I would love a daughter, so we'll be finding out the gender this time! I do hope it isn't another boy though because boy names are soooo haaaaard to chose damnit.

Oh ladies, maternity leave is such a fuss to get your heads around! I did it last year and it gave me a headache trying to sort it. I'm on a career break atm so I have absolutely no idea if I even have to tell work this time as technically I'm still employed just on a kind of sabbatical for the next two years.

Can't wait to see if they'll be any more May Mummies joining us soon :D

Last time I worked until 36 weeks but I really struggled in the last few weeks. My job is very active and I’m on my feet a lot. I’ll probably use annual leave to reduce my hours this time near the end.

I’m currently wide awake at 4.37, I’m sure this is a pregnancy symptom. Just realising my travel system that I used for my 1yo will be useless, we’ll need a double pram. I’m a bit gutted because I wanted to get my moneys worth! Never expected to get pregnant quickly! Obviously I’m counting my blessings though.
