Yay how exciting!!
So Iv got my booking appointment on the 16th with the midwife, and I assume il get my scan date following that? Il be 10+2 on my booking appt, so hope the waiting list for the scans isn’t too long! Xxx

My scan date took about 5 days to. Come through the post I'll be 12+1 I think when I have my scan.
It's only booked the day I get home from holiday.we get into the airport at 00:15 on Monday 29th.
Probably be home by 4am.
Scan is 9. 50 lol.
I'm going to be so tired!

Had my scan. Measuring spot on for my dates. Theres a small bleed underneath the yolk sack so not really put my mind at ease. Also my ovaries had wondered off which they can do apparently guess they gone on a break now ttc is done.

I think it’s funnier that it was also obstructed by ‘bowel gas’!

My scan was fine. Everything as expected.

Hi everyone,

It’s a bit quiet on here! I’ve been back at work so just sleeping in between. Had my booking appt on Monday. Had glucose in my urine so need to be seen again in 2 weeks. Booked my scan but it’s not til 30th, which is a bit annoying. They say that by my early scan I’ll be 12 weeks then but by my lmp I think I’ll be 13+3!! Makes no sense because if those dates are right it would mean I got my bfp at 2+3!! Anyway I’ve decided to ignore that and stick to my dates.

Hope everyone is ok. Aurora, glad your scan was ok! Sorry the bleed is worrying you. Did they say anything about what it means or if it needs monitoring?

I’ve been thinking of names recently and am really struggling to think of a girls name! Have people got ideas yet?

Just nipping on from the June thread. Aurora, I have a SCH too. They don't know what causes them, possibly from implantation. Theres nothing they can do for them, normally they will either be reabsorbed by the body or it'll exit via the cervix so don't be alarm if you have a little bit of spotting. Normally they advice you to rest when you can, avoid heavy lifting or overly strenuous activity and keep hydrated.

I think it's very hit and miss with what info they give out. It's shocking really. Are you booked in for a rescan? x

Hi all. Just checking in.

Aurora, that's a bit lame they didn't give you any explanation or advice at your scan But as they didn't seem worried I guess it means you don't have to worry either

I had my screening blood test yesterday for Down's etc ahead of my scan next Thursday (my hospital does the bloods before so they can give the results at the scan instead of sending letters). Stupid woman stuck me twice because she didn't listen about using the upper arm vein, and then had to use it anyway. I hate it when nurses think they know better than their patients

11+1 today and feeling a bit more stable mentally, but I also started taking fluoxetine a week ago so it may be that already kicking in.. Physically feeling up and down. I find that mornings are easier than evenings; by the time dinner time comes I feel woozy and crap and just want to go to bed!

I've got 3 medical appts, a massage, and I have to pop in to work to hand some stuff back as my career break has started, and that's all before the end of the month!

How's everyone else getting on?

Firstfreakout lovely to hear your starting to feel a bit better mentally. A massage sounds like heaven but i cant bear being touched right now.
I have the same issue with my bloods, my GP surgery wont take mine anymore i just get sent up the hospital. Every time i say to them the veins in my arm wont work you need to take it from my hand specifically this vein between my middle and ring finger. Nope they insist every time that they do this all day every day and have never had a problem so will try the arm 1st. Usually 4 or 5 attempts later they say ok lets try the hand. Winds me up that they won't listen.

It is so frustrating. I always tell them straight off that I have difficult veins and hate being stuck repeatedly as it makes me prone to fainting etc (I once even fainted sitting down during it!) but sometimes they assume they know better. She said she didn't want to use the vein I showed her straight away as it bruises more, but funny thing is the one she did in the crease of my arm has left a huge bruise anyway! And didn't work.

I'd take a bruise over being stuck multiple times any day. Bruise > trauma.

Thats the excuse with my hand. No we don't like hands they bruise to easily. So instead i end up with bruises all over my arms...

Hey girls, hope everyone is feeling OK.
Iv had my first (of many) glucose test today and 9w5d
My body kicks out sugar even when I'm not pregnant.
There not happy about it at the hospital lol.
She stuck needle in same veins 2 hrs apart it absolutely kills when I straighten my arm.
Still having some pinky red spotting too
I go on holiday in 9 days and I'm dreading anything happening while I'm in a foreign country

I am going to Egypt a week tomorrow! Erm I doubt it. The spotting has stopped though.
I still feel sick, still have the poops so daren't venture far from home or the toilet. It's horrible.
Dreading going on holiday really!
Feel a bit dizzy and just generally crap.
Haven't packed, haven't tidied house, still don't have sun cream lol... Normally I'm packed weeks in advance and everything is done lol.

Arghhh. Am feeling you regarding nurses and taking blood. I have teeny veins which are real stingy about giving blood - hang onto it like misers or just collapse so it always has to be on my hand but do they listen, no they do not! Daft nurse messed up trying to get a drip into my arm big time last time I was in hospital. Dunno what she managed to do but my L arm looked like it had been in a mangle - bruises tracking all the way from forearm to armpit and she was in,y messing about with my inner elbow. Had the drip in LH in the end with nurse saying jovially ‘oooh, you did have small veins didn’t you!’ GRRRRRRR, I DID tell you you daft individual. But then you can’t be too bolshy as, after all, they hold all the drugs which you might be begging for soon.

Been an intresting day. Hubby tried to kill me by cooking korma that had cashew nuts in (im allergic to cashews) so had to go up to the hospital as my epi pen didnt really help. Ñow im home resting in bed and my whole body is aching.

I still haven't had a booking appointment and I only just got through to the midwives on Saturday to talk to someone about it after 3 weeks of trying and leaving messages. My midwife is off sick so that's why I haven't been contacted, they are going to put through my scan request and then try and get a booking appointment with someone in the next few weeks.
I'm 7w4d so there's still plenty of time really.
I'm starting to feel a bit shit, nausea seems to be coming in the afternoons, and I seem to be feeling feint quite often (I did with my ds during the first trimester too) which is tricky as my mum has been staying here for a week as it was my DS second birthday and I haven't told her yet, I want to wait until the scan to make sure everything is ok, but feeling like crap a lot of the time and pretending I feel fine is quite tricky!
