***** May 2019 Mummies *****

Hey!
It’s been a while! I’ve not been on the forum for a while but I’m due 10th May.

Wasn’t expecting it. Had my beautiful rainbow in July 2016 after 5 miscarriages. It’s still daunting but it helps me feel at ease being on here :)

Welcome Lou and congratulations! Hopefully this is a sticky bean for you again :) x

Nervous but excited to share the journey with you all xx

Aww huge congrats hunny... Let the madness commence!

Congratulations and welcome Lou!

I have the midwife tomorrow ( because the GP told me to make an appointment to get an early scan booked). Hoping we can get it sorted and I am have a scan soonish.

Anyone with older children, are you waiting til the 12w scan to tell them? I’m so desperate to tell my daughter but she’s only 5 and I worry that if I told her something bad might happen and I don’t want her to get hurt. I know she will be excited to be a big sister again. She keep telling me she wants a brother.

Hi, my kids are 13 and 16. I told them as they obviously understand a lot. It may be harder for a 5yr old to understand if something did happen however kids are so resilient. Only you can be the judge of how she would be. I can’t blame you wanting to tell her. I couldn’t wait to tell them.
Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

I’ve had to tell my daughter who is 4 only coz the sickness is so bad she’s getting upset. I have had to say I have a baby in my tummy and when the baby comes out my sickness will stop and she will have a new brother or sister. She’s desperate for a sister as she’s got a 2 year old brother and they fight like cat and dog lol x

Thank you :)

I’m waiting a while to tell my son. He’s only 2 so probably wouldn’t understand anyway but I’m scared of something happening and it being even more confusing x

My DS is 1 and he came with us to the 6 week scan - had no idea what he was looking at :D

This pregnancy is kicking my ass so far. First one was no sickness, barely cramps, just exhaustion that disappeared about 9 weeks or so. This time it’s nausea, diarrhoea, sore nipples, AWFUL anger and moods, and just feeling like I died and was microwaved back to life :( hoping it passes soon!

How’s everyone feeling today?

:lol::lol::lol: this did make me laugh, not the fact you are feeling rough, just the way you described it

I do have a very blunt sense of humour :D I’ve also lost my eloquence when feeling this rough so I probably could have worded it better!
but like we all know that’s microwaved food just doesn’t taste as good as anything else; I just feel like a mouldy rustlers burger or something right now!

Best way to be i say :-) Im surprised at how little the members on here swear, its actually tamed me

I’m glad it’s not just me I haven’t moved for 3 days as when I do I’m sick. Your expression sounds very much how I am feeling too. Pregnancy sucks and I hate it x

I have told my two. 12 and 6. Because if anything happens I'll be distraught and I think they are mature enough to understand.
I'm praying it doesn't as my 6 year old is so excited and my 12 year old (boy) is suddenly super protective of me and baby... He's even called it Simon!

I swear like a trooper normally, even in texting it isnt good and I'm not proud  I just csnt help it sometimes....

I woke up angry this morning... Everything got on my last nerve.
My 12 Yr old decided he had a sore throat and had to whisper. In the end I shouted it isn't that sore no need to whisper and he shouted back and his voice was fine... Not even a hint of a croak... My god I'm glad he's at school today.
I now feel emotional and feel like sobbing at nothing... Well something... I'm overweight and so worried but I am doing slimming world and have lost a stone prior to getting pregnant but it's making me worry.

So sorry your feeling so naff.. My sickness comes in waves but it isn't severe and I'm not sick.
Iv got cramps, I get them near my groin mainly. And I went light headed earlier. X

Haha, Simon! Is that his favourite name for the baby then? :D

IVW, my swearing in real life is awful. I curse like a sailor. But on here I guess I think a little more about what I type, and as text doesn't always carry tone I try not to add swear words incase it offends anybody. We're all way too hormonal for that!

Oh I don't remember if I said, but I got my booking in appt on 21 Sept, a blood test on the 10th October, and my scan date through for 18 October when I'll be 11+6 going by my private scan date! (By LMP 12+1)

Anyone else received any appointments yet?

I’ve got my booking app on the 18th no scan through yet. Got private scan tomorrow at 7.30 tho!
Haha Simon!! Has anyone got any names they like yet? Xx

Thanks for the input guys. I think we will tell her soon. I can’t wait!

Name wise I like a few... for a boy I’ve always liked Isaac. Not sure about a girl yet. I like Daphne but not sure if it’s too unusual??

I love how your son likes Simon!! Brilliant!

Yes... Simon.... I don't like it lol... My little girl wants to call it chewy and my boy said only if its born on may the 4th lol!
Poor baby will wanna stay put and be late at this rate lol!

I haven't got any apps through yet. I'm assuming it will be at about 10 weeks. Then the scan 12 weeks (from LMP)
I think I'll be a little behind as I ovulate late (cd 18/19) in my cycle.
Holiday is on 21st October for a week so I'll probably get all apps then lol!
