Glad all went well at your scan to Kautostar - shame they couldn't do the measurements, what's the quadruple test? At my scan on Wednesday, my specialist said 'ooh they won't like how baby's lying next week, they may struggle to get any measurements' I hope he/she moves round by thursday! xxx

The quadruple test is just blood tests where they analyse for downs and other things. Should be able to have it at 16 weeks with the midwife. I'd never heard of it before either!

Whilst I was having my scan I kept forgetting to breath and had to keep taking big gulps of air! I was thinking that the picture would be clearer if I held my breathe for some mad reason and of course it wasn't!!!

I have watched loads of you tube videos but I still can't figure it out I was so sure I'd find it really quickly. I'm going to have a go again in a min see what I can find. X

Aahh thanks for the info - I wonder if that's what they will do for me on Thursday if my baby hasn't moved. When I've had my scans I hold my breath too xx

Thanks vic, enjoy tri2! Yeah my scan is 9:40am, but if I don't post in here for a while its because we've got lots of visiting to do afterwards and we're going out for lunch! I'll let you all know ASAP how it goes x

Eagerly awaiting Angelone's news I've been put back one whole day at my scan! I can live with that... Our early scan measured 2-5 days smaller so its not as far behind as expected. I'm already totally besotted with our little wriggler. The scan didn't last long and most of it was taken up by the nuchal translucency measurements, so I'm already eagerly awaiting the 20 week one to get another good look in there! The sonographer kept having to bash the probe into my tummy to get the baby to move as it wasn't in the position she wanted for the measurements, think baby was trying to sleep at that point as it kept jumping and jolting as if it was getting really annoyed with the disturbance of it's peace and quiet! It had a good wriggle around when she first showed us the whole baby though so it was nice to see it having a dance. X

Aww that's fab Lucy - pleased all is well. Nice to see baby having a dance! I had the probe bashing too! Not great when needing to pee! Congratulations again. Pic? Xx

Lovely to have so much good news on here I've hit an insane wall of tiredness the last couple of days! I thought it was bad the last few weeks but this is ridiculous! I can't believe I made it through work today, think I may need a day in bed tomorrow. I read that the baby doubles in size weeks 11-12 so I guess maybe why my tiredness is getting worse... Can't wait til I can tell everyone!
