May 2014 Mummies

Sorry I don't know what to expect but please let me know how you get on as I have my appointment next Friday! Thanks x

Does anyone have any idea what to expect at first midwife appointment? I've got mine next Wednesday, didn't expect it that quickly as I'll be just under 5 weeks. I'm also going to telephone my local haematology clinic tomorrow as I'll have to go on injections for a blood clotting condition that I have which I'm not looking forward to :(

Mine last time was full of questions and paperwork then blood tests, then they give you lots of info packs and your pregnancy notes :-) x

My green book came in the post with my appointment, I have to fill it out and take it with me, they still say to leave 2 hours for the appointment and there will be a group discussion? ! Did everyone else go on their own ordid dad to be go with you?

Mine with my ds and my 1st that I miscarried were both to fill out the pregnancy notes, they take all your family medical history etc, some will do bloods on that appointment too, my DH didn't do my booking in with me.

I haven't yet called my mw as I am having bloods tomoz to make sure my hcg is rising correctly, hopefully from that they'll get my early scan date booked; If everything goes well tomoz I'll call the mw to sorts my booking in.

Thanks ladies. I think the woman on the phone said it was a half hour appointment so I'll just have to wait and see.

For those who've had kids before, when did your morning sickness kick in (if at all)?

I'm going to have lots of questions over the next few weeks!

Last time it never did, this time before I got my bfp even though I was testing bfn!

I never really got morning sickness with My ds, and nothing with this one yet. Apparently not having it is a boy symptom, lets see x

Morning all! Can't quite believe this but I'll be in the May mommies too, all going well! I posted in BFP announcements but it was a real surprise after 18 months trying and not even a whiff of a BFP.

From my last period, it looks like my due date is 11 May. I'm already feeling nauseous (but this may be excitement), I have been exhausted, my boobs are huge and sore and I keep waking up really early. ( and been constipated - sorry if TMI)

Exciting times!

Congrats to you irishemma, fx for a h & h 9months x

Congrats Irishemma! :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed ladies that I don't suffer from morning sickness!

How are all of the May mummies to be getting on today?? xxx

I'm good thank you. Having a busy day overhauling our finances in preparation.

I feel shattered today and absolutely starving. Had to lie for the first time last night about why I wasn't drinking. I *think* everyone bought my excuse that I was having to drive later. Did a cb digi this morning and got 2-3 so things seem to be moving in the right direction. Does 2-3 seem about right for 16dpo?

Last couple of days I've been really tired, so tired that I'm getting shaky and I think it's making sickness worse as its at its peak when I try to sleep. I haven't actually been sick yet but for me feeling sick is a lot worse than being sick.

Went back to be this morning after me & lo got up at 5:30! Thanks Grace lol and slept 10:30 -1pm feel abit better but surprise surprise the husband did nowt while we were sleeping :(
